Animals have always been a part of our lives—we’ve both grown up with pets and naturally stepped into caring for friends’ and family’s animals over the years. Whether it’s a week-long vacation or daily walks, we love offering consistent, loving care that makes pets feel right at home. What sets us apart? You get two experienced, reliable caregivers for the price of one. That means more attention, more flexibility, and more love for your pet. We’re an active duo who knows the area well, from peaceful walking paths to safe open spaces for more energetic pups. That said, we’re also great at matching energy—if your pet’s more of a couch cuddle buddy, we’re totally here for that too. We can host pets in our own home (cozy, safe, and pet-friendly!) or we’re happy to stay in yours—whatever works best for your needs. Our priority is your pet’s happiness, safety, and routine, and we treat every animal like part of the family.

In short: the perfect Rover for boarding, especially first timers!! I’d give 10 or 100 stars if I could!! Sara was an incredible Rover and I will be using her again (and again)! It was my first time boarding my rescue Golden Retriever and I was nervous, as Meadow has slight quirks as most rescues do. Sara calmed all my nerves as she actively sent me photos showing Meadow was eating, hiking, playing in the Carmel river, and sleeping soundly!! Meadow’s boarding at Sara’s was basically a doggy summer camp dream in Carmel Valley! Sara loved my dog as if it were her own, and that’s a testament to how incredible of a boarder she is - she’s attentive to the dogs needs and will go above and beyond to make sure your dog feels right at home. Plus the activities, I mean Meadow had the time of her life and definitely got a ton of exercise while I was gone. Even further, Meadow was tuckered out when I picked her up which was very helpful after I had full day of traveling back from the East Coast. I will be recommending Sara to anyone that asks for a rec for a boarder in Monterey, especially dogs that need activity or exercise, but even those that just want to hangout in the sun and chill with good humans. Also, Sara was extremely flexible with pick up and drop off, as I had flight changes and couldn’t abide by my initially requested time frames. I cannot thank her enough for taking the best care of my dog!
Sara is an absolute gem! She's amazing with animals of all kinds and so flexible with her services. She's happy to provide in-home care or even bring my pet to her home when possible. She's responsible, attentive, and great at following instructions. Whether my dog needs a relaxing day or an adventurous hike, Sara is the perfect fit. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

How about people or children? • Alone time – Can they be left alone for short periods, or do they need constant company? • Habits to be aware of – Any chewing, furniture issues, or escape artist tendencies? The more we know about your pet’s routine, personality, and preferences, the more we can tailor our care to make them feel completely at home—whether we’re out on an adventure or relaxing together.
A typical day
A typical day with us is all about fun, fresh air, and thoughtful attention tailored to your pet’s personality. We love spending time outdoors and live close to a variety of beautiful trails, parks, and pet-friendly spots—including Carmel Beach, a favorite for dogs who love to socialize and play in the surf. Depending on your pet’s energy level and preferences, our days might include: • Morning trail walks or neighborhood strolls • Beach outings with dog friends (if they're social!) • Playtime at home or in the yard • Snuggle sessions and downtime for older or more mellow pets • Evening walks and plenty of love before bedtime

Availability
One of the biggest advantages of booking with us is our extremely flexible schedules. We both work remotely and set our own hours, which means pet care can easily fit into our daily routine. Whether your pet needs morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening cuddles, we’ve got it covered. Because there are two of us, one or the other will always be available to provide care, attention, and companionship. We’re able to accommodate a wide range of needs—from regular walks and drop-ins to overnight stays and longer-term sitting.
