Pet care experience
Hello! I’ve been a dog and cat sitter for family, friends and acquaintances for many years and an owner of a variety of pets (including cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters, birds and fish) all of my life. My kids are now grown and living away; no pets remain. My last four-legged pet was a wonderful wheaten terrier who lived for thirteen fun-filled years - I still miss her years later. ** PLEASE NOTE: In May 2025 I moved from my home of 39 years to a condo and am no longer able to accommodate visiting pets. Services modified to house sitting only. Can do light house keeping while caring for your pets.

Sandy took care of little Nila for a day for us and she was really good with her. She made sure to follow all of her routine. She took good notes of all of Nila's daily routine, all of her necessities, emergency contact and vet office. She kept us updated frequently with photos, videos and fun blurbs about Nila's day. We were able to be gone for the day stress-free knowing Nila was in good hands. Would definitely get her help again!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Sandy. I was so anxious to leave Alphie alone for the first time, but Sandy made everything feel effortless. She kept me updated every day with pictures and little stories about Alphie’s antics, which made me feel like I was right there with him. She truly cared, making sure he felt secure and loved. When I came back, Alphie was happy, well-fed, and relaxed, clear signs that he’d been in great hands. Sandy didn’t just watch him, she made sure he felt at home. I can’t recommend her highly enough, she is the best! ❤️

A typical day
I prefer to take the lead from the owners regarding pet care and schedules to ensure there is no undue stress on your pet or bad habits developed over the stay.

Availability
I specialize in long term stays. Very quickly at the start of the stay (of generally one to four weeks, although shorter periods are fine), I have an opportunity to develop a solid bond with your dog or cat. With no other four legged or human distractions, my goal is for your pet to joyfully find a new friend during your time away. As a retiree, I’m available throughout the day and evening.
