Availability
Pet care is a core part of my daily routine. I work from home, which means I’m around throughout the day to give dogs plenty of attention, company, and supervision. Our day usually includes morning walks, enrichment and playtime, calm rest periods, and an afternoon walk or garden time depending on each dog’s needs and energy levels. I keep to consistent feeding and toileting routines, and I’m happy to follow whatever schedule your dog is used to at home. Evenings are relaxed and cosy, with plenty of fuss and reassurance before bedtime. Weekends are similar, with a bit more outdoor time when the weather allows. Your pet is never rushed — they’re cared for as part of my normal day, not fitted in around it.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. At home, I provide a calm, supervised environment with secure outdoor space for play and regular toilet breaks. Dogs are never left unsupervised with unfamiliar pets, and I carefully manage introductions so everyone feels relaxed and safe. I follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medication, and any training or behaviour guidance provided by owners. I use baby gates and closed-door areas where needed, and I always check leads, harnesses, and gates before walks or garden time. Walks are kept sensible and appropriate to your dog’s age, ability, and confidence — I never let dogs off-lead unless agreed with the owner and I’m confident it’s safe. Hygiene and wellbeing are important too: water is refreshed regularly, sleeping areas are clean and comfortable, and I keep a close eye on behaviour, appetite, and energy levels so I can spot any changes early. Communication is key, so I keep owners updated and always treat every pet with patience, kindness, and respect.

Information Samuel R. would like to know about your pet
Important to know about their pets ahead of time Before a stay, it’s really helpful to know about your pet’s usual routine, feeding schedule, and any medical needs. I also like to understand their personality, energy levels, and any quirks or anxieties they may have, such as fear of loud noises or being left alone. For dogs, details about walking habits, lead behaviour, and how they interact with other dogs and people are important. For all pets, knowing what they enjoy (and what they don’t) helps me make their stay as comfortable, safe, and stress-free as possible
A typical day
A typical day is calm, structured, and centred around the pets’ usual routines. Mornings start with feeding, toilet breaks, and a gentle walk or garden play, depending on each pet’s needs. During the day there’s plenty of companionship, enrichment, and rest time, with pets never left alone for long periods. Afternoons usually include another walk or play session, followed by relaxed time indoors. Evenings are quieter, with dinner, final toilet breaks, and lots of settling down before bedtime. I keep owners updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is getting on.

Safe, Friendly & Reliable Pet Care
Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for several years and currently run a small, friendly home-from-home boarding and daycare service. I have experience with a wide range of breeds, personalities, and energy levels — from lively puppies to gentle seniors. Animals in my care are treated like part of the family. I’m confident with feeding routines, medication, enrichment, lead-walking, recall practice, and supervising safe social play. I always take time to understand each pet’s routine, preferences, and any behavioural needs so they feel comfortable and secure. I have a secure garden for exercise and play, and I make sure dogs get plenty of stimulation — whether that’s countryside walks, quiet cuddle time, or calm rest depending on their needs. Communication is really important to me, so I send regular photo and video updates to help owners feel reassured while they’re away. Your pet’s wellbeing, safety, and happiness are always my top priority

Reviews

Samuel has been excellent to deal with. He dropped round for a meet and great to introduce himself to me and Ziggy and had a big folder with all his accreditations which I wasn’t expecting. Ziggy can be a bit funny with new people at first, but he soon took to Samuel. Samuel kept me updated during the day on how Ziggy was getting on and took him for two walks during his visit. I’d welcome him back and would highly recommend him to others.
Thank you Samuel for having Bobo. He had a great time going for walks and playing with Luna. Looking forward to future stays.

Amazing cat sitter! Samuel looked after our two cats fantastically and kept us updated throughout. We came home to two very happy cats and everything perfectly cared for. Highly recommend!

Samuel is such a good companion to Betty. He meets her where she is, makes it a breeze for us to leave when she's anxious, and goes above and beyond to ensure she's comfortable and happy. We always have such peace of mind leaving Betty in Samuel's safe hands, plus he's communicative and timely.
