A typical day
Apart from walking, we can play with your dog’s favorite toys, play hide and seek in a safe, enclosed space, and play other games your dog might like. I also like to play the nose work games I’ve learned with my dog (hide and find treats). I’m happy to take your dog on a short hike for sniff enrichment if you’d like as well.

Pet care experience
I have always grown up with pets (dogs, cats, birds, fish…even a reptile or two!) I adopted my pup, Hurley, nearly 15 years ago and it has been one of my joys to have her in my life. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages, helping you practice any training you might be working on with your pooch, dispensing medications and other care needs, as well as keeping your furry friend safe if they have any anxieties or other difficult behaviors. While I am not a trainer, I have kept up regular formal, positive reinforcement training with my dog and we’ve also taken lots of fun classes like agility and nose training—meaning I know lots of fun games to keep your pup engaged during my visit. I also have experience caring for ducks and chickens, small reptiles and birds.

We had Samantha watching our house w/our dear two poodles and kitty cat for a long weekend, and she was exceptional, walking/feeding them twice a day, giving them lots of affection, sending us pics regularly, taking care of all of our mail detail, promptly returning text messages, in ways warm, generous, and wonderful. Thank you so much, Samantha, can’t wait to have you back on our next long weekend away!
