I’m not currently working full-time so I can be very flexible with scheduling and can dedicate the kind of time and attention to your pets that they deserve. I love getting outdoors, so I’m happy to play outside with your pets if that’s best, or keep it cozy with them inside.

Please let me know if your pup or kitty has any special needs. I have not had much experience with medication injection, but I am still happy to provide those services if needed with thorough instructions. Let me know if your pup or kitty has any triggers or other behaviors I should know about that would help me help them stay as safe and happy as possible :). Any other quirks or tricks you know of I am happy to hear and try myself. The more information I have the better to care for your beloved fur babies.
A typical day
I love a game of toss just as much as your pup does and happy to play with them in between walks and meals to give them healthy exercise—if they have favorite toys or activities please let me know! For the kitties, I’d like to consider myself a wizard with a string wand toy but happy to play with them however they like (or don’t). I get needing space and would respect your cat’s preference for privacy if that’s what they need. But I am always more than thrilled to accommodate your cat’s or dog’s desire for pets or cuddles :).

Pet care experience
I love animals of all kinds—old and young, big or small, healthy and those needing a little extra care. I’ve been a go-to, trusted pet and house sitter for friends and family for years and I’m seeking to expand that help to my community and beyond while traveling. Professionally I am dedicated social worker with years of experience caring for vulnerable people and children, but I extend that same type of care to animals in my personal life. I value communication and transparency and I’m happy answer any questions you may have throughout this process!

Sam is an incredible dog walker! She’s great at handling my younger dog’s boisterous energy and my older dog’s aggressive barking tendencies. Sam communicates very well about timing and the dogs. She also offered suggestions to make the walks go smoother (treats for my older dog). Anyone would be lucky to be able to hire her. ♥️
Samantha is my new favorite pet sitter! She got Comet out for some excellent hikes, sent lots of pictures, and communicated well. She was very attentive to detail and asked many questions about how I wanted her to care for my pets. 100% would recommend, and will definitely hire her again!
I met Sam through a family member. I was left in a pinch with no one to watch my 15-year-old cat. I asked her if she could stay for a couple of days to take care of her. She accepted and did a fantastic job, she is a real animal lover. My cat Rosie actually let her pet her a miracle for my scaredy-cat. She was on time, checked with me on instructions, sent me pictures of my cat and checked in regularly. She cleaned up after herself when she left. I could not be more pleased with the care that she gave to my pet and my home while I was away. I highly recommend Sam, she did a great job and really put my mind at ease while I was away!
