Like so many others, I was recently laid off—and around the same time, I lost the coolest dog anyone could ask for. With more time on my hands and a lot of love still to give, I decided to lean into what I’ve always been great at: caring for animals. I’ve always been the go-to sitter for friends and family, and now I’m offering that same love and reliability to others. My daughter is my little sidekick and loves helping out with walks, belly rubs, and all things furry. For both of us, pet care isn’t just a task—it’s a bright spot in our day and something we truly enjoy.

Safety, trust & environment

Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in yours, my top priority is keeping them safe, comfortable, and happy. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible—feeding schedules, walks, medication (if needed), and of course, plenty of playtime and cuddles. In your home, I respect your space and your pet’s comfort zones, making sure they feel secure while you're away. If they're with me, they get a cozy, pet-friendly environment, lots of attention, and access to nearby parks and trails for daily adventures. Every pet is treated like family—because that’s what they are.

Information Roy T. would like to know about your pet

Before watching any pet, I like to know their routine, personality, and any special needs. Do they have quirks, anxieties, or triggers? Are they crate-trained, leash-reactive, or on a strict diet or medication? I also ask about their energy level, favorite activities, and how they do with kids or other animals. The more I know up front, the better I can make them feel safe, happy, and right at home while you’re away.

A typical day

From fetch marathons to trail walks, every day is an adventure! I love tailoring playtime to each pet’s personality—whether that means chasing squeaky toys, playing tug-of-war, or just soaking up the sun in the yard. For pups who love to explore, we’ll hit the local parks and trails for sniff-filled strolls. And for the cuddle bugs? Expect lots of belly rubs, couch snuggles, and relaxing downtime. My daughter also loves joining in on the fun (and pets love her gentle energy!). Every day with me is filled with love, attention, and tail-wagging fun. 🐾

Pet care experience

From puppy zoomies to senior snuggles, I’ve seen (and loved) it all. I’ve raised dogs of my own and been the go-to sitter for family and friends for years. Reliable, active, patient, and always ready for belly rubs or a good game of fetch. Based in a pet-loving neighborhood full of trails and parks—tail wags are guaranteed. 🐾

Hi my name is Tussie. This is the first time my mom left me for a trip and with a great human caretaker. He AND his family are wonderful, very communicative with mom and took me on great walks. I would highly recommend. I also got a nickname, STITCH. SO CUTE AND I LOVED IT.

We had a phenomenal experience using Roy as our pet sitter for Sadie. She is a special-needs dog who doesn’t do well around other dogs, has very high energy, and requires careful handling. Because of that, we take the decision of who cares for her very seriously. Roy exceeded our expectations. He was attentive, punctual, prepared, and extremely confident working with a high-energy dog. He was already familiar with the neighborhood and aware of the other dogs in the area, which gave us additional peace of mind. He followed instructions carefully and demonstrated excellent judgment throughout his time with Sadie. Most importantly, Sadie absolutely loved Roy. She had a fantastic time, and ever since she’s come home, she hasn’t stopped smiling. It’s rare to find someone who can connect so well with a dog that has unique needs. We are incredibly grateful to have found such a wonderful dog sitter in the Sacramento area. I highly recommend Roy to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and capable to care for their dog—especially if they have a high-energy or special-needs dog. 5/5 stars. Roy provided exceptional care, and we wouldn’t hesitate to trust him with Sadie again.
