I just recently graduated with 2 masters, so I am taking a bit of a brain break while I look for a job! I’m pretty flexible with my time and love any opportunity to connect with your lovely fur babies!

Safety, trust & environment
I have taken classes on dog training and done a lot of research, so I understand the value of slow and steady introductions. Based on your feedback I will often come with some sort of treat or toy to bond with them. I also ask questions about routines, behaviors, and any special quirks your pet may have, so we can have the best time together! I incorporate positive reinforcement, redirecting, mental stimulation, play, and regular exercise to keep your pets happy!
Information Rose A. would like to know about your pet
*If your pet is friendly (to people and do other pets or animals) *On a scale of 1-5, how reactive are they? (1 is not very, 3 is they notice and might pull a bit to get to something, and 5 is super reactive and reacts with anger or possibly dangerous behaviors) *Are there any special commands or words they listen to? *Their favorite toys or treats! *How often do you like them walked? *Are they high energy or low energy?
A typical day
I love bringing different toys and puzzles for them to play with. We’ll usually start with meeting outside and going for a nice long walk if it’s a first meeting! If not, we will meet inside and I love to either have treats to play a game or go outside to play a bit. I love playing games like fetch, keep away, or hiding treats for them to sniff and find! Or we can also play games centered on training and reward. I love having doggos play with puzzles or homemade mental stimulation games if it’s raining outside or they have some extra pent up energy they need to burn.

Pet care experience
I’m a verified foster dog parent! I’ve taken classes on dog training, have over 9 years of pet sitting experience and most dogs are automatically my friends! Fun fact: I use to be scared of dogs growing up, but after my college roommate got a dog, I fell in love with them and put tons of work into learning dog behavior, body language, and training tools. Now I’m the person who jumps for joy at the sight of dogs and without a doubt will ask “Can I please pet your dog?” If you walk by with a doggo!

Reviews

Rose took care of my cat while I was out of town for a funeral, and she was absolutely fantastic. My cat is terrified of strangers but also hates being alone and is usually high energy. Rose was very patient and creative in finding ways to help him feel comfortable enough for some attention and playtime, which was exactly what he needed. He has asthma as well, and she was able to administer his inhaler medication. She stopped by to meet my cat before I left, which helped a lot, then gave me detailed updates at each visit on his behavior, how well he was eating, etc. She was also super kind and meticulous in asking questions and following the instructions I left. Thanks to her I was able to focus on my family without any extra worries. Thank you so much Rose!
Rose was my dog sitter for 5 months and did a phenomenal job with my Australian Shepard. At the time he was a very rambunctious puppy, Rose has amazing patience and helped instill some safety training that he still follows today. He was always super excited to hear that Rose was coming over, she gave detailed reports (with so many cute pictures!) about their time together and would communicate any concerns that she would have. I highly recommend Rose as a dog sitter!
Rose was super gentle and took good care of my chocolate lab. She was on time to walk him and always brought healthy treats too. She’s our go to when we need our dog walked or a sitter.
