I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember, from small dogs and big dogs to cats, snakes, lizards, and more. There’s truly no kind of animal I don’t love. In high school, I regularly cared for my neighbors’ dogs and cats, which helped me build a strong foundation in pet sitting and responsibility. I volunteered at my local animal shelter for four years, and later continued volunteering at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri during my undergraduate studies. I also spent time working in the veterinary clinic there, which gave me hands-on experience with animal care and a deeper understanding of health and safety needs. I currently have two cats of my own that I absolutely adore, including a senior cat who is diabetic. Managing their care has made me very attentive, detail-oriented, and comfortable with administering medications, monitoring behavior, and following specific care routines. I work professionally in a detail-driven field, so you can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and organized. Whether your pet needs extra attention, medication, or just lots of love, I’ll treat them like they’re my own.

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority. In my home, my cats are incredibly well loved and cared for. Like most cat households, they definitely run the show, but I make sure their environment is clean, safe, and enriched with plenty of playtime and attention. Because I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision and a calm, low-stress environment. I’m very attentive to routines and will follow your instructions closely, whether that includes feeding schedules, medications, exercise, or specific behavioral needs. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs, so I’m comfortable administering medications and monitoring for any changes. In a client’s home, I treat your space and your pet with the same level of respect and care. I make sure your pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment while keeping things clean, secure, and consistent with their normal routine. Whether it’s walks, playtime, medication, or just lots of love and attention, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe and well cared for every step of the way.

Riley is an animal lover and always has been. In college, Riley majored in Biology with a goal of continuing on to become a veterinarian. While in college, she volunteered at the local animal shelter. In addition, strays would seeming find her and she would care for them. She would take them to the vet, feed and care for them, and place them into a good home. Riley loves really all animals. Since a small child, she has had and cared for multiple dogs and cats plus rabbits, snakes, gerbils, mice, rats, fish, birds, and more. With her love of animals and dedication to taking care of them, she would be a great candidate to be a care giver for Rover. In fact, her sister living in Chicago is already a member of your team.
The first words I'd use to describe Riley are empathetic and caring. She owns two cats and cherishes them unconditionally. She has always been an animal lover, and strives to love animals any time she encounters them. In the past, she assisted a veterinary clinic and got hands-on experience with handling potentially dangerous animals. While she has had some negative experiences with peoples' pets in the past, she is never the one to incite conflict. One time, one of her friends' dogs bit her randomly while she was petting him. Instead of becoming fearful of dogs, she convinced herself that that dog's behavior might have derived from a traumatic past experience and she challenged herself to continue to interact with the dog. Eventually, they gained each others' trust and they become good friends. Riley is an active person and enjoys walking, so she'll do great at walking pets if that's what this job entails. Otherwise, she's knowledgeable about proper pet caretaking habits (feeding, administering medicine, playing but with limits, etc.). She'll do great!
Riley is fantastic with any and all pets! She has grown up with cats and dogs her whole life and currently owns two adorable cats who are spoiled with love! She is well educated in the needs of cats and dogs of all ages and is always flexible and accommodating to their schedules and very communicative. I would trust Riley to take care of any of my pets!

Since I work remotely from home, pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent attention, regular check-ins, and a flexible schedule to meet your pet’s needs. I’m able to accommodate feeding schedules, medication timing, potty breaks, and playtime without issue. Whether your pet needs frequent care, a structured routine, or just some extra companionship during the day, I can easily adjust my schedule to ensure they’re well taken care of. Because I’m not rushing in and out for a traditional 9–5, your pet will have plenty of supervision, attention, and a calm, stable environment.

- I’d love to learn as much as possible about your pet ahead of time so I can give them the best care possible. It’s helpful to know their daily routine, favorite activities, and anything that helps them feel comfortable and happy. Please let me know about feeding schedules, treats (including any allergies or restrictions), medications, and any medical needs. I also like to know their personality. Things like favorite toys, where they like to be scratched, and anything that might make them anxious or stressed so I can avoid those triggers. The more I know, the better I can make your pet feel safe, relaxed, and right at home while you’re away.
