I work from home and currently have three dogs who welcome other dogs as part of the pack right away. I have a fenced-in backyard and they go out multiple times a day. I have plenty of time to devote to your dog including walks, specialized feeding schedule and any other needs your pet might require, including medication administration and even bathing.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is priority one. My fenced-in backyard is locked to prevent the gate from being opened. Dogs are never left unsupervised in the yard. If I need to leave for any reason, the dogs are crated or left in a safe space and they're never left alone for more than an hour at a time.

Information Richard D. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about any special needs your dog might have including fears, interests, feeding/potty habits etc. Every little detail helps me make your little furry friend's stay that much more enjoyable. NOTE: I would prefer your dog be on an oral flea/pest preventative other than a flea collar or topical treatment. Thanks in advance.
A typical day
The dogs eat three times a day, first thing in the morning, usually between 6-7, then at noon and again around 4-5. They get multiple potty breaks during the day too, usually every hour or two. I take them for walks around the neighborhood, to the Biltmore Estate and on short hikes, assuming they're up to it. I play ball and give them treats between meals.

Pet care experience
I've always been a dog lover. I've had at least one dog since the early 80s. Currently I have three dogs in the home and treat them as children. I have fostered for Mountain Pet Rescue and volunteer for the humane society. I take care of friends' and family members' pets as well. I will welcome your dog as one of my own. PLEASE NOTE: I can only care for dogs up to 30 lbs. Rover currently does not allow me to customize a weight limit. Thank you for your understanding.
Reviews

Richard was very communicative leading up to and during the visit. He has very sweet dogs and a nice fenced in backyard. My dog seemed to enjoy her time. I would definitely book with Richard again.

Rick was wonderful as always! He’s always very responsive and appreciate that we can trust him with our dog. Finn is always at ease there :)

Ozzy always has fun with Richard’s “pack”! Very thankful my 15 year old dachshund gets great care and has fun!

Rick is our "go to" sitter for Nazca. She always gets plenty attention and exercise and we know she's in good hands!
