Safety, trust & environment
I’ve grown up with animals all my life - so I suppose at this point it is just second nature to be around them. I make sure not to leave often, especially in the first 48 hours, so that I can help keep your pets relax as you leave. I try to spend a lot of intentional time with them up front so they get to know me and trust me. I once had to walk a dog 5 times between 10pm and 2am because it was nervous, but by the next day we were best friends. It just takes time and patience.
Information Reid G. would like to know about your pet
I’m not very picky but basic food needs, general water intake, how they interact with dogs, how they interact with humans, how they do on walks, can they go on runs, how much exercise do they get daily, etc. Basically, any specifics you’d want me to know to make sure I can take the best care of your dog.
A typical day
As stated before, I run lots! And go on walks often by myself, either to grab a coffee or just go get off the laptop screen (where I video edit) and go around listening to an audiobook. I like to take dogs on runs because I already run and most seem to enjoy it. Walks and playing fetch are great for both your dog, and for me. A walk always makes my day a little better.

Easy Going care for your animals :)
Pet care experience
Since I was 10 I’ve taken care of the pets in my family. Bunnies, dogs, cats, fish, gerbils and mice. I’ve given baths, taken dogs on runs, cuddled with kittens, played with bunnies. I’ve had to give medication to animals before. I’m quite active (trail runner) and really open to anything. I work from home so my schedule is flexible.
Reviews

Awesome sitter. Dogs are happy and Reid communicated quickly and was very flexible with some last minute changes

Due to last minute travel changes we had to scramble to find dog care during Christmas week. Reid was very accommodating to our last minute request and even made time to meet us and the dogs ahead of time to ensure compatibility. During our absence, Reid was super responsive and communicative, sending us daily updates and several photos. It was significant relief to know our dogs were taken care of.
Reid was great! he helped my dog, Hercules, relax by providing long walks. every picture he sent my, he looked happy as can be!

Our boy Cashew is still in the thicket of big-dog adolescence, and at 70lbs it can feel like steadying a runaway train, but Reid has been beyond wonderful with Cashew since the start! Reid is compassionate with our boy without letting him get away with unsafe behaviors, and now that I’m working 12hr days, I can trust that my boy will be exercised, exhausted, and excited to sleep until I’m back home. Choosing someone to bring into your home, while you’re not there, to temporarily *take your dog* is an undeniably stressful decision. Reid has made that process effortless, putting my entire family at ease, and I cannot recommend his services enough!
