I was born into a family that deeply cherishes the natural world and raised on a farm in Candler, NC. Growing up, I was surrounded by a myriad of animals—including, but not limited to: dogs, cats, horses, chickens, sheep, goats, donkeys, pigs, rabbits, rodents… there was even a herd of deer I hand-fed with my horse Comanche at dusk. I spent more time in the barn or forest bonding with animals than I ever did indoors :) In 8th grade, I worked all summer cleaning stalls and doing barn chores to save enough money to breed my mare Star—and with help from my parents, I raised her filly, Koda. I rode on the hunter/jumper equestrian team at Hollins University and later worked as a veterinary technician at various clinics, most recently Highlands Animal Hospital in Florida. That role gave me the skills to provide attentive care and administer medications, ensuring your pets’ health and well-being. While I loved helping animals, the fast-paced emergency clinic environment was emotionally challenging as an empath. I realized I could best support animals by combining my intuitive gifts with my lifelong experience in a setting that feels nurturing and grounded—for both them and me. I’ve worked on farms and ranches, taught horseback riding lessons, cared for hundreds of pets for clients, friends, and family, volunteered in wildlife rehab and rescue programs, and worked in dog/cat boarding facilities. I truly enjoy bonding with each animal and discovering their unique personality. I’m a certified yoga teacher, reiki practitioner, and holistic healer. I work with clients on a spiritual and energetic level, which gives me the flexibility and presence to care for your pets with full attention and love. My deep connection to nature and my spiritual practice help me tune into each pet’s emotional and energetic needs. Now based in Waynesville, NC, I offer professional pet sitting services in the comfort of your home.
