Empathetic Licensed Vet Tech
Pet care experience
***Out of state until August 21st. Please forgive any longer than usual responses to messages*** Hello, my name is Reena and I would love to become best friends (or at least second best) with your pets! I am a licensed veterinary technician and I’ve worked with both pets and wildlife for about sixteen years. I’ve spent my career as a dedicated critical care nurse and anesthetist with a special interest in pain management. I dedicated three and a half years (2020-2023) to working with a board-certified sports medicine and rehabilitation veterinarian, doing physical rehabilitation and pain management for dogs and cats. I have extensive experience with companion animals of all life stages (neonates to geriatrics), sizes (teacups to Great Danes and wolves), and demeanors (nervous of the world, happy go lucky, beyond energetic, a bunch of sass, and everything in between). Animals bring me the greatest joy and I always love meeting new non-human animal friends! I am happy to provide updates including photos and or video, via text, FaceTime, or email. I am extremely meticulous and pride myself on accommodating special requests. I am a patient and very loving non smoker & abide by the highest standards of ethics. I moved to Vermont in August 2023 to attend Vermont Law and Graduate School's Animal Law program. While I love it, I miss my animal friends in Florida! I am excited to get to know your fur babies. Don’t hesitate to make any special requests or to message me with questions. I accept pets with special needs, medical or emotional. To me, pets are family!
Reviews

Reena is great! She really cares about animals and takes the time to learn everything she can about your pet to make sure they are happy and healthy. She stayed at our house for a long weekend and took excellent care of our senior cat. Our cat is very shy and skittish but warmed up to Renna almost immediately. High praise!

Reena is amazing! My dogs had a great day with her. They’re usually pretty hesitant with strangers, but Reena made them feel very comfortable. She also sent me updates, pictures, and videos throughout the day which was great. I definitely plan to rebook!

Simply the best ever dog care giver. I plan to have Reena look after Boogie all the time I am away, whenever, wherever.

Reena stayed at our home with our very energetic Australian Shepherd. This was my first experience using Rover, and I was apprehensive about having someone I did not know staying in our house and also entrusted with our dog. I could not have been more pleased! Meeting Reena was easy. She is personable and kind, and clearly loves animals. She took careful notes as I described everything to her about our dog and the house, and when we returned everything was immaculate and our dog was perfect. You could tell she had taken extra care with everything. My experience was A+!

Safety, trust & environment
For safety purposes, I will always use a leash for dogs unless you have a secure, fenced in yard and you notify me that it is okay to trust your pet in the yard (with supervision of course). If your cat is leash trained, I do have a tracker collar for safety that I can use during our outdoor excursions. I will take your pets trusted routines and environments, and match what they are used to.

A typical day
Customize your pet's stay! Multiple long or short walks, brushing, treat puzzles, playing. Couch snuggles while watching a movie or reading are definite musts (unless my new friend is super independent, of course). Field trips to a dog park, the river, or a hike are available for an additional fee.

Availability
I am taking some summer classes for my Masters in Animal Protection Policy, but it is a much lighter schedule than my Juris Doctor classes in the Fall. For Summer, when I do have class, it is only ~3 hours Monday through Thursday, otherwise I am home. Pets have always been and will always be the priority of my day.
