Safety, trust & environment

As a pet parent and homeowner, I am particularly focused on safety of the animals as well as the home. I always close the garage door before opening the door into the house, and any other doors that have access to the outside are opened very slowly - I don't want anyone escaping as much as you don't! I am trustworthy with garage and access codes, as well as keeping a key on hand. I enter every home and greet every pet the way I'd want my sitter doing it at my house.

Information Rebecca P. would like to know about your pet

I like to know how they are on leash. Do they pull a lot and, if so, do they have a harness instead of a collar? What are their triggers? Squirrels, bunnies, other dogs, people?

A typical day

I like to take them on walks where they can enjoy a variety of smells (isn’t that what life is all about?!) and get the exercise they need. Bike and walking trails are especially great for this. I also tend to converse with them during our time together. Yeah, I’m that crazy lady!! I just want to make sure they have the best time possible because they deserve nothing less!

I Already Love Your (Fur) Baby!!!

Pet care experience

I have been walking dogs full time now for almost seven years. From 10 week old puppies to 15+ year old sweet seniors, I've walked them all - every shape, size, and breed! No matter how unique your situation, I'm sure I can help in whatever way you need. I promise I will love your pet as my own. I have no shame in being affectionate with them two seconds after I've met your dog or cat (or snake, or rat, or hedgehog, or turtle, or....). I love all animals and I know they just want to be loved and to feel safe - and I will make sure that's what they get from me! I began caring for other people's dogs several years ago when a friend asked me to house/dog sit for a few days while they were out of town. They had two dogs - one was 10 years old and blind, the other was 6 years old and VERY playful. Walking them together was a lesson in patience and humility, to say the least. But we eventually got the hang of it, and I’ve been working for them ever since! I have two cats: Bella and Filmore. I adopted them together because Filmore has a compromised left eye, and Bella has been caring for him and loving him since they were in the shelter. But I do love ALL animals, and being a dog walker allows me to get my 'doggie fix' every day! I would love to hear all about your pets and see if we're a fit!! I care for pets full time and can provide visits up to an hour (or more, in special circumstances). If they need a walk, play time, or just cuddles, I can provide any and all care they need. I am very comfortable with all pets and their needs. I will take the time to make sure they are exercised and fed (if needed), and I will make sure the premises is secure upon entering and leaving. I am overly cautious because I don’t want anyone escaping on my watch! Safety is a priority and my clients will attest that I make sure their pets are safe and secure in my care.
