Owner of a long-haired chihuahua, all dogs welcome
Pet care experience
I have lived in a household with dogs since the age of two, when my family owned their first of three generations of Chow Chows. After settling in the UK, I got my first adult dog, Gruffalo, a long-haired chihuahua who keeps me company as I work from home most days. Gruff loves other dog, is super chilled and easygoing and is an absolute delight to anyone he meets.
Reviews
Rebecca is a wonderful pet-sitter. She is is an exemplary dog owner and take wonderful care of her own dog, Gruff. She lavishes the same care and attention on other dogs she takes care of. I have no hesitation in recommending her services.
I have witnessed Rebecca look after her own dog many times, and seen her look after another's pet on occasion too. Her dog exhibits none of the negative traits often seen in other dogs such as excessive neediness or constant begging/scavenging. Her dog is clearly happy in the consistent boundaries Rebecca has established, she has obviously trained him expertly and has a great understanding of dogs and their needs. His health and well-being is obviously so important to her with the quality of nutrition he receives. He is well stimulated with walks and playtime. She is able to tailor her care to the specific needs of the dog. I have seen her look after dogs with health issues and she demonstrated much kindness and patience. Your pet will definitely be well looked after and prioritised if you choose to trust Rebecca with them. Rebecca is very reliable and trustworthy, you will be able to leave your pet in her care without any anxiety, safe in the knowledge they will have an amazing time with her.
Rebecca is an outstanding human being. On many occasions she supported the welfare of a friends dog at short notice and always went above and beyond to do all she could to support all of the dogs needs. She intelligent, kind, empathetic and an all round wonderful human who I would have no hesitation in asking to take care of my dogs.
Rebecca is a wonderful dog mother to Gruff, and I have been very happy that she has agreed to look after my cocker spaniel Polly on many occasions. Rebecca is organised, caring and diligent in how she takes care of other pets. She is respectful of specific owner instructions, provides updates where requested and is not afraid to both ask questions or offer her advice. I would recommend her without hesitation.

Information Rebecca H. would like to know about your pet
My own dog has mitral valve disease, and needs medication 2x daily, 12 hours apart. It is important that he doesn’t overexert himself around other dogs.
A typical day
As a dog owner myself, I am used to the daily routine of feeding, walking, playing and napping. Breakfast is given 9/9:30am, lunch 1/1:30pm and dinner 5/5:30pm. Light grooming, performing tricks, reading a book as we snuggle on the sofa together, listening to music or preparing a meal, are all great ways to pass time.

Availability
Most days you can find me in the company of my own canine, a super chilled long-haired chihuahua called Gruffalo. We go for walks 2-3x each day depending on his energy levels and the weather. Mornings we head out around 10am and early evenings around 5pm. If he's feeling energetic we sometimes also go for a wander around 2pm.
