Pet care experience
Since my toddler years, everyone knew me as the girl in love with animals, especially dogs. Whenever I saw a dog in my vicinity, I would beg my parents to let me pet it. Due to this fondness of animals, I decided to make a career out of it. I graduated from Stony Brook University in May, 2018 with a degree in Biology. After graduation, I moved to Florida where Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom granted me an internship working with exotic wildlife from September to December. Now, I'm living in Babylon again and studying for my GMAT so I can apply to Stony Brook University College of Business in hopes to create my own doggy day care center in the future. I will also continue using Rover while I attend business school, so I love accepting longterm/routine-seeking clients! During my time at Stony Brook University, I worked all four years at West Hills Animal Hospital as an attendant, so my vast experience with dogs and cats allows me to cater to just about anyone's furry loved ones needs! My reliability and motivation assure you that your pets will love the sitter who shows up on time and gives them all the affection they yearn for during their owners' absence. Rachel was a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. During our meet & greet my cat Hobbs wasted no time in choosing her to be his petsitter. Rachel is prompt, conscientious, follows all instructions, and sends updates during every visit. She truly went above and beyond! I’m completely comfortable having Rachel take care of my pet.
This review is long overdue but we wanted to be as thorough with this review as Rachel was with our fur babies. We went away to Europe for 8 days in which Rachel had to not only house sit but take care of not 1, but 4 animals. Yes, we have 3 cats and 1 dog (you read that right) all of whom are various ages with various needs. Rachel came by a couple of times to get used to our pets before the big trip. This was really nice to see how she interacted with everyone and to make sure we felt comfortable having her stay in the house. She was always very professional and punctual. During the trip, Rachel had to administer meds to two of our cats through their food, she kept with our normal food routine which consists of wet and dry for all and deal with their attention requirements. Not only did Rachel connect with everyone but our dog is VERY timid. Rachel took the time to let our dog move on her own time. By the end, they were having photo shoots and snuggling. Going away can be tough but Rachel made it seamless. We decided to have cellphone service while we were away and it was reassuring to get daily updates. Rachel even tidied up the house to make sure we didn’t come home to anything crazy. We really can’t thank her enough and we look forward to continuing to use Rachel for our pet sitting needs. We would highly recommend her to anyone. It can be tough to find someone who is responsive and attentive but Rachel possesses both of these qualities.
Rachel was awesome! Super respectful and did a great job with our two dogs. She responds quickly, sends updates, and photos. She left the house just as clean as when we left. Our dogs had a ton of fun with her. We will only be using Rachel.

I treat all furry friends with respect and care. No matter the activity or sociability level of your family member, I will make sure that they are comfortable and in good hands. This includes assuring the basics of them being properly walked/fed and medicated if needed, along with providing them with companionship and love while you are away!
Information Rachel W. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know their feeding instructions and if they take any type of medication. If they are on meds and don't take them easily, I can pill them. I also would love to know their activity requirement and where you would like me to walk them. If they like to exert tons of energy like my Mini Goldendoodle, Princess Leia, does, then I can make sure they get enough activity during the visit. Please let me know a timespan of when I can visit them, such as any time between 2 and 4pm. This makes it easier for me to plan my visits! Feel free to inform me of any specific details regarding the care-taking of your pet. As for breed preferences, I love all breeds of dogs. Although, Goldendoodles definitely make the top spot :)!
A typical day
I live in the heart of Babylon Village nearby Southards Pond Park. I love taking my own dogs on long walks there, so I would be delighted to do the same for you! If you prefer to have your pups walked in your neighborhood or just let out in the yard, that's perfectly fine as well. Since every pet has a different demeanor, I can play with them to match their energy levels. If they love running or brisk walks, that's no problem with me. If they prefer to lay down on the couch and receive tummy rubs all day, I love that too! I excel in catering to any specific pet's needs :).

Availability
When I was 9 years old, I finally got a dog after begging for one since before I can even remember. I learned how to take care of a pet simultaneously as I was learning how to take care of myself growing up! To me, life is not complete without a furry friend to spend it with, and taking care of pets has fallen into my daily routine for the majority of my life. I treat your pets’ needs as if they were my life own, and I will always make sure that they are comfortable and content in my care. My current availability is: Monday: All day except from 3:30-7:30pm Tuesday: All day Wednesday: All day except from 3:30-7:30pm Thursday: All day except from 3:30-7:30pm Friday: Anytime in the morning until 2pm. I’m also available after 8pm. Saturday: Only available in the mornings until 11am and then after 8pm. Sunday: Available all day Routine visits: I accept routine visits during my available hours on weekdays only. Unfortunately, I cannot accept routine visits on the weekends.
