For dogs, I'd like to know their energy level, how they interact with other dogs and if you have any special considerations I should be aware of. It would also be great to know if they have had a dog walker in the past, and how that went for your pup. For cats, I'd like to know their general temperament (shy, friendly, cuddly, standoffish, etc.), and if you have any tips/tricks to gain their trust. I never force my affection on them, but want them to feel cared for while their people are away! Let me know if your pet(s) have any allergies, medications or limitations and I will make sure they are safe and comfortable in my care.

With dogs, it's really up to you! I love being outdoors and accompanying your dog on a good, brisk walk, but also happy to take it slower for the older pups (or lazier ones like mine!). I enjoy playing fetch, stopping for all the good smells, and having a good cuddle afterwards. Whatever makes your dog the most comfortable and happy in my care, I'm game! With cats, I usually do my "tasks" first - emptying the litter box, feeding your kitty according to your instructions, and refilling their water. While I do this, I make sure to chat with your kitty about anything at all - I assume they miss the sound of talking in the background of everyday life and I hope it makes them become more comfortable with me. Then, if they are a friendly kitty, it's time for unlimited pets, play, or brushing! If they are a more shy kitty, I will hang out nearby and continue chatting or put a show on to keep them company. I find after a visit or two, they usually come join me and I can win them over! I always send a detailed account of our visit along with some photos of your loved one!
