Lots of love, attention and walks in Sefton!
Pet care experience
Hi🥰 I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and been walking and sitting for friends and neighbours since I was probably 10! I really want more expierience to eventually have my own dog walking and sitting business, and looking to get Canine first aid training over the next few months. For the last 3 years, I’ve helped look after a friend’s mini daschund but she was sadly put to sleep in November 24 from IVDD. A few months before this, she’d had a surgery for her back and I helped take care of her during recovery. We helped wrap medication in ham to ensure she took this. I have also helped dogsit for a few days while a family friend was on holiday and stayed in their home during this time. I also helped sit for a friends elderly 14-year old Toy Poodle needing lots of rest and taking care of. From my experience, I’ve had some insight into dogs that need extra care due to genetic/health problems and open to educating myself further if needed! So all in all, I have a lot of love and attention to give and will likely love your pet like they’re my own!! If you want to ask anything further, please get in touch💘

Ralph loved spending time with Rachael! They had lots of play and she looked after him so well with lovely updates throughout the night. Would highly recommend x
Rachael was excellent and responsible with my dog Peanut! Nothing was too much of an ask and she went above and beyond to ensure Peanut was well taken care of. Rachael looked after Peanut as if she was her own dog. Thank you for all your help Rachael!
Rachael has loved dogs ever since she was a child. I should know, I am her mother. She always nagged me to get a dog, but sadly it wasn't possible. She had everything dog themed though and a whole host of cuddly dogs in her bedroom. She did have guinea pigs and rabbits and looked after them conscientiously and lovingly. As an adult, she has dog sat for my friend's dog Fudge for a week, taking him for walks and looking after him. She did this for free, just because she enjoys it. She also helped to look after her friend's sausage dog, dog-sitting and taking her for walks. This dog became a big part of her life. Due to her living accommodation she can't have a dog of her own yet, but she is such a kind caring person and knows a lot about dogs from spending time with other people's dogs. She would really like to get lots more experience of looking after dogs.

Our flat consists of 2 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen/living area. It’s a medium sized flat so best fitting for small - medium pets. We don’t have a garden but Sefton Park is a 3 minute walk from our door. We are one floor up with no lift so your pet would need to have the ability to take themselves up the stairs or have preference on if they can be carried. We have 2 neighbours who both love animals too. They are both women living on their own and also wfh. Our upstairs neighbour occassionally looks after her mum’s spaniel but we have notice for when this happens. She is a calm and friendly dog from what we know!

Information Rachael L. would like to know about your pet
I have a peanut allergy so please avoid providing any peanut based dog treats or peanut butter lick mats! 🥜 Let me know if your pet has any special needs, requirements or medication ahead of time. Please provide written clear instructions where possible in these cases, so we both have something to refer to in times of need. If your dog has any behavioural needs I should be aware of, such as regularly barking inside, nervous around other people or dogs etc, please notify me to make sure I’m still able to accomadate.
A typical day
I love to help dogs stimulate through playing with toys, walks in the park and finding new places. I have 2 parks near by, Sefton Park and Princes Park. I also really really love cuddles and chilling on the sofa. I could sit their for hours if they really needed! My partner also has a car so if we needed to get places quickly we can do this. I can bring friends round if your pet enjoys lots of attention, or stay inside and create a peaceful environment with little noise in.

I have lived in Liverpool for 8 years now and recently moved to Lark Lane with my partner, Ben! He is the same age as me and a big animal lover too! I wanted to note this in case your pet struggle with men/male-presenting people. Sefton park is a stones throw away so no garden is not too much of an issue for getting outside! As we’re new to the flat and area, we currently cannot have animals staying for more than 1 night. However, where it is welcomed, I’m more than happy to try arrange boarding at the pet’s home and happy to discuss this if you’re comfortable! My work is a call centre - I work from home Monday to Thursday and in the office in Wavertree on Friday. I’m on a 6 week rotation of 8 hour shifts between 8am - 8pm, so with notice can use holidays and try arrange breaks for walks if the pet is close by during the week.
