Pet care experience
I have around one year professional experience with animals thought volunteering but have had family pets all 21 years of my life. I’ve always loved animals, having experience with my own pets since I was young (primarily cats, dogs and rabbits) and spending lots of time in nature. This led me to take a degree in Wildlife Conservation with Zoo biology which I have just completed and I’ll be graduating from in the upcoming months- including modules on animal welfare, behaviour and enclosure design. Alongside this I have been developing my animal handling skills, volunteering as a dog walker/pet sitter through BorrowMyDoggy, Trusted house sitters and as an animal care assistant at the RSPCA. I currently have two dogs, one of which suffers with sight and anxiety related issues, which has provided me with the patience and understanding required working particularly with animals with additional requirements. I also have seven cats at the moment (one of which is an 8 week old kitten of a pregnant stray which I rescued) so I have experience with all cat personalities and age groups, also including those with additional requirements.
Reviews

Pheobe is amazing, super caring and took time to understand what Lizzie (my dog) wanted from a walk. We got updates and pictures detailing every walk, we booked again midway through our first booking and wouldn't hesitate to tell others to book Pheobe
Phoebe walked and looked after my dog’s Daisy and Bella, she is an excellent dog walker. She has always been punctual and does a great job, she bonded well with my dogs and is excellent with animals. One of the dogs is very high energy and sometimes not easy to handle on a walk but she managed this well and is able to walk 2 very different temperament dogs together. I would recommend her highly for anyone looking for a good dog walker!
Phoebe has a natural connection with animals and a true passion for their well-being. She will go above and beyond to make sure all our animals are happy, healthy, and loved. Phoebe has an obvious love for animals, but the way she applies her academic knowledge to real-world pet care brings an informed and thoughtful approach when creating a routine and monitoring pet behaviour and health needs. I highly recommend Phoebe to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.
Phoebe stayed at my smallholding for a week and looked after my 2 cats, ducks, guinea fowl and geese. She was an excellent pet sitter and when I came home the animals were very relaxed and happy. She was reliable and communication was easy and friendly. She sent me some incredible photos when I was away of the animals and my house was impeccably clean when I got back home. I’m looking forward to her coming again and I can’t recommend her enough!

Safety, trust & environment
I will always work to prioritise an animals welfare and because I have an anxious dog myself, I am unable to provide animal care in my home, however I do have previous experience with pet sitting in the owner’s home and would be happy to continue this. I would adapt my care to the individual pets needs and try to maintain their regular schedule where possible- such as walks at a consistent time, walk length, energy levels.
Information Phoebe M. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best experience for your pets individual needs it would be helpful to know the following: pre-existing health conditions and medications, normal routine in terms of service required (e.g. duration and intensity of daily exercise), personality traits (e.g. energetic, couch potato, anti-social etc) and any other information you think I may find useful- such as if they only eat if you stand with them, their favourite play toy or if they are fearful of sudden movements around them.
A typical day
Enrichment is important for all types of pets, both physically and mentally which is something I will try to bring into my care routines. This can be though trying new games or treat related activities such as lick mats. For walks, I will try to keep them local to the pet where possible so they are in an environment which they are relatively familiar in to ease them around being someone new.
