I'm a communications professional for 30 years now, so it comes natural for me to share with pet owners every milestone of any day they're apart from their pets and trusting me with their care. For 20 years, I've cared for my friend's dogs, cats, and chickens in the Bay Area just for the fun of it. Now I'd like to open my experience and hope it will lead to more travel when I retire in a few year. Also, I have a veterinarian friend on speed dial. I've never had to call in an emergency. But I could!

Penne is an absolute gem of a pet sitter! She cared for my dog Ricky many times over the years, and he adored her so much he would go into full-on zoomies the moment he saw her car pull up. Penne always went above and beyond, carefully preparing Ricky’s special diet and turning every walk into a fun little adventure. I also periodically foster special needs dogs, and Penne has always adapted seamlessly to each pup’s unique needs—whether that meant administering meds, managing mobility issues, or simply being extra patient and gentle. She's just as wonderful with cats as she is with dogs, and she's consistently responsible, tidy, and incredibly loving with every animal she meets. I can't recommend her highly enough!
I have known Penne for over 10 years, with her pet and others'. She loves animals and will treat your pet like it was her own. My pup is in love with Penne, since the moment she met her. She squeals in happiness every time she sees Penne, and will not take her eyes off her all day because she knows Penne means fun and attention. I've been with Penne when she's taken care of others' dogs and cats and she's always ultraresponsible and loving, and the critters just love hanging out with her. Your beloved pet could not be in better hands.

Planning
I work from home most days. I write, so I sit at my desk and I don't move much. I love having a cat on the desk or a well-exercised dog in their bed waiting for my next move. I go downtown twice a week, but I have a retired neighbor who volunteers at Animal Control and the SF Zoo who is nuts about dog-walking to fill-in for noontime walks.

I like to treat all pets like they're my own, with a little extra in an auntie kind of way. I am an expert Kong-stuffer and a tug of war extremist, with a nice car that I don't mind getting hairy or muddy. Poo and litter are not things I shy away from. I love the smell of pet feet.
Een typische dag
I'm an early-riser, I like to get the morning walk (for dogs) done first thing. If they're allowed off-leash, I would take them to the infamous dog run at Presidio in the morning, then Ocean Beach for sunset. It all depends on the owner's instruction and dog's personality. Some dogs love to sit outside at cafes on a sunny day, others want a walk but prefer their bed in front of the heater. On the weekend, I love sitting at the roller disco at GG Park in the thick grass.

- Potty schedule. Also, are they ok to sniff other pets, or should I avoid any/all interaction. Also, strollers. Should we avoid little humans being pushed around the park, or walking down the street? Just what to avoid, really.
