When I was a kid I took care of my two hedgehogs and miniature dachshund, who lived a long and happy 17 years. I'm very familiar with caring for senior dogs as my dachshund required daily shots for the last two years of his life. I've had my current pup since he was born two years ago, and I trained him myself to be house-broken, crate-trained, do tricks, etc. My dog is very friendly with other dogs, and we would love to meet and walk with yours!

I have watched Patrick interacting with hedgehogs, dogs and cats in his lifetime. He has always treated animals with great care. He is patient with them. He really enjoys being with them. When he was very young, he would share his sucker with his uncle’s dog - one lick for Patrick, one for the dog (and repeat). I think that was his first interaction with dogs. We had to tell him that it might not be good for the dog so he stopped (at least as far as we could tell). I can’t think of anyone that would be better or do a better job.
Patrick is a wonderful doggie dad to his black lab mix Huck. Patrick gets down on the floor to play with Huck and teaches him patiently. Patrick takes Huck on walks, the favorite being to the local dog park. When Huck was younger Patrick got Huck his own kiddie pool to cool off in hot weather. Then Patrick bought a house with a small in ground pool for he and Huck. Patrick is responsible and is a firm and loving doggie dad. Patrick is a great did caregiver.

I have a small fenced yard and a heated pool that my own pup loves to swim in. We have tons of toys to play with and love visiting our neighbors. I will vigorously follow any rules you would like me to for your dog, and of course give them tons of love and attention.

A typical day
I take my dog on at least one 1-mile walk each day throughout Rice Military, and we regularly enjoy the dog park or playing in my pool. I have lots of toys and balls for playing tug and fetch, and some mentally stimulating toys to make the pups figure out how to get their treats.

Availability
I am available for drop-ins/walks in the evenings Mon-Thurs, and drop-ins/walks/daycare/boarding Fri-Sun. I work in the office Mon-Thurs, but work from home on Fridays. I'm very schedule oriented to be able to take care of my own dog, and would do the same for yours.
