Dogs Dream: Long Walks With A Buddy

I have been a pet parent for 16 years. In the 16 years of being a pet parent, I have been a parent to a guinea pig, cats, dogs, a rabbit and fish. I have been a dog parent for ten years. I am currently a mom to a German Shepherd and a rabbit. My German Shepard is the first puppy I have had to train. What I have done with her training has taught me a lot and continues to teach me, especially with her breed. My previous dog before her was a chocolate lab that I rescued. I have also been a dog parent to other dogs I have rescued. All of the present and past animals that I have had the privilege of being a parent to hold a special place in my heart. I enjoy being around dogs. *Note: Please do not bring your furry family member's bed with them. If you want to bring something familiar for them, bring something non-stuffed My days are pretty open, aside from my daughter's activities, and typical appointments. I have a pretty flexible schedule and typically have been able to work around clients needs. Typically when I walk into a client's home, I greet your dog; depending on if your furry family member is a jumper, I will either make eye contact or not (until they have calmed down). I leash them up, and we go on a route. I keep this pretty much routine for them as it gives them predictability. We get back, and I'll toss some treats around before I leave. That way, your furry family member is occupied, and I don't have to worry about them trying to escape. If your furry family member needs to be created, I will toss some treats in before needing to lock the door. I do prefer supplies that I will need to use for your family member to be close to the door as I am not comfortable to be looking for them through your home.

We love Oralee. I think my dog likes her more than me haha. Such a wonderful woman and great with my dog. Super communicative and always updating with photos throughout stay.

Oralee and her family welcomed our energetic dog, Sarge, with open arms and took better care of him than we ever expected. In need of help fairly last minute and having never boarded him in his 5 years, I was nervous, but the continuous pictures of him having fun and open communication all week left me worry free. I would recommend her to anyone!

The are was excellent! Carmen could have used a little more activity. Overall great experience. Provider skills were excellent. She was an excellent communicator and gave us feedback about what Carmen was doing. We would definitely choose his provider again.

Safety, trust & environment

When I am in your home, there are a few things I do when I am with your pet. First, I let your pet know that I am happy to see them and to be with them. The second thing I will do with your furry family member is let them enjoy their walk or time outside. I don't have a plan when we are outside; I look at it as if this is their walk, their time to enjoy what they naturally love to do, yet with a compromised understanding between us. The last thing I have done is if your furry family member needs to be crated and I notice that they are anxious about returning to their crate; I will wait until they seem to have calmed down before placing them back in the crate.

Pets

A typical day

Any dog I have the privilege of taking care of will have the opportunity to play fetch, tug or war, as well as having time outside to play with my dogs. I am also open taking them to dog parks, or beaches if their parent is ok with it.

41 to 100 lbs

Non-neutered males accepted, spayed females only
No females in heat
Oralee can host up to 2 pets per night
The most important thing that I will want to know about any future furry four-legged family member, is how they are with young children (an eight-year-old resides in my home) and whether are they good with other dogs. Also, I will want to know if there is any special needs , ie. food diet, medications, separation anxiety or special care, of your furry family member. Does your family member have any aggression that need to be taken into consideration? What is your schedule with your family member? I don't really have any breed preference. *Please do not bring your furry family remembers bed with them. I am ok with you bring a blanket along with your furry family member if you are ok with it possibly being torn up.
