Pet care experience

Cozy Acres Pet Stays

Happy trails and happy tails! We adore animals and truly enjoy caring for them. It’s something that already fits naturally into our daily life. Living in a quieter, more spacious setting, we wanted to create a safe, calm place where pets can feel comfortable while their owners are away. We understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so we focus on giving them attention, consistency, and a low stress environment. For us, we know how it feels to consider our pets as family members and it’s something we take seriously and genuinely brings us joy! We have had the privilege of loving several fur babies over the years and know what it means to have trusted partners and friends that can help out when the need arises. Our sweet companions should have a comfortable and safe space to relax when families have to be away. In recent years we’ve struggled to find that for our own pets so we’ve decided to open our home and land in order to help those looking for a reliable option for care. Sharing our hobby farm would be an honor for those who feel it would be a good fit for their families! We look forward to growing trusted partnerships in our community.

Schedule

We are homeschooling family of 3 that spends the majority of our days working and learning here on our mini hobby farm. My husband remote works and one of us can be found here most days of the week. We have 2 male yellow labs that hold down the outside spaces and female golden doodle that keeps things fun inside. They are very social and friendly with other animals. We also have 3 outdoor cats, a bunny in a hutch, and a large coop of chickens that free range in the afternoons.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

We do mealtimes 2x per day and have plenty of fresh clean water available at all times. Playtime and walks are every day around noon and again in the evenings. Potty breaks 3-4 times per day or as needed. For the safety of our furry friends we do crate or provide a smaller space for resting and relaxing times. If your pet cannot be confined in smaller rooms or spaces throughout the day, let’s discuss how to best care for their needs prior to booking a stay.

Pets

A typical day

We have 10 acres of private property and a secure run for outdoor activities. Pets can enjoy games of fetch, get plenty of sniffs, and some social interaction with others if tolerated. We also have sniff and sensory toys for those with added mental energy that needs expending.

We are completely comfortable administering any medication or special dietary instructions if needed. Please submit a detailed email explaining how to best care for your pet prior to your stay. Generally we have pets sleep in a cozy crate with access to water and toys. We are a mini hobby farm that includes several types of animals and is something to consider when choosing our home for your pet sitting needs. Pets should be able to be walked on a leash since our acres are unfenced. As weather permits, we spend a great deal of time outside. Pictures and videos will be sent throughout your pets stay to keep you informed about how the visit is going. Spending so much time outdoors or engaging with our animals we don’t always have a phone on us but return calls and texts will be answered in a timely manner.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
