Apprentice dog trainer & WFH
Pet care experience
I have been dog sitting and dog walking consistently since high school. I have always had a huge love and interest in dogs which has led me to now, where I am currently training to be a dog trainer! I recently started shadowing an amazing experienced dog trainer just outside of Shreveport where I have learned so much about training dogs and the career. I have fully trained both of my pups, including off leash training, and have worked with a few other dogs and their owners, mostly being puppies! I am a lover of dogs of all ages and sizes and have had experience with a wide range of temperaments and personalities.
Reviews

Nina was AMAZING with our puppy! And her two dogs are SO well behaved. Our puppy was a little nervous at first and the dogs knew to leave her alone until she was comfortable. She provided us with tons of updates and pictures. Our puppy seemed super happy when we picked her up :) We will definitely try to book her again!

Nina was wonderful! She sent frequent updates and took such good care of our little buddy.

Nina is fantastic!!! Super easy to communicate with and took great care of my boy!

Nina was amazing and our Biscuit had an absolute blast staying with her. I will definitely be reaching out to her to take care of our boy!

Safety, trust & environment
I have two pups of my own, Joey and Winnie, who are both friendly and well trained. I have dog sat a few dogs in my home and naturally, safety is my highest priority. I never leave my dogs and a client’s dog unsupervised whether I am in the next room or running errands. Both of my dogs are crate trained and when I have to leave while watching a client’s dog, they are secured in their crates. I do prefer a client’s dog to also have their own crate if possible just to ensure the most safety at night and if I need to leave. However, if a client does not have one or use one, I can work with that as well. I have a fully fenced in backyard, but even so, I go out with the dogs every time they need to go so they are never in the yard unsupervised either. I am a bit of a helicopter mom😅

Information Nina B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or medication requirements. Please also let me know about your dogs general temperament, specifically if they are nervous or fearful or even just shy at first! This is no problem, just want to do what I can to make them feel comfortable as quick as possible!
A typical day
I will provide your pup with a variety of play and stimulation! I regularly use lick mats, kongs, snuffle mats, treat puzzles, and other mental stimulation toys with my own dogs, a blue heeler and a catahoula leopard dog, and usually try to provide at least one a day to them and any dog staying with me. I try to spend a good amount of time in the back yard, for my own vitamin D needs, and to let the dogs get some sun, sniff around, or play outside. We are big lovers of tug and squeak balls in this house so I would love to play with your dogs as well!

Availability
I am currently in sales working remote from home where I am lucky enough to be able to do my job anywhere as long as I have my computer, and am able to essentially set and adjust my schedule. I am able to do drop-ins during business hours M-F and some evenings, and for dog sitting I have flexible availability including weekends!
