Pet care experience
I have had pets my entire life. From a very young age, I became interested in obedience classes and my mother would let me work with our 120 pound mixed breed when I was just 8 years old. I recently had an internationally licensed Therapy Dog who I personally trained from a puppy. He received his AKC CGC when he was 6 months old, completed AKC advanced obedience at 1, and became a TDI Therapy Dog at 1 1/2. If you would like me to work on any commands or manners during walks, I would be more than happy to help. I spoil my pets rotten, because they deserve the most loving life I can provide. I am a strong believer that animals are meant to make humans better people.

I always make sure walking equipment is secured before taking them to any type of open environment. Doors will be triple checked before entering and leaving to ensure your pet is not attempting to run outside and your home is safe. For liability reasons, I do NOT take dogs to dog parks, go to areas where dogs are off-leash, or transport your dog in my vehicle. This is for the safety of your pet and myself. I value and respect any instructions you provide on how to care for your pets. *For doggy daycare and/or boarding, I will require a pet interview. Dogs must be cat friendly!

I do not have any breed or size preferences. Please be sure to accurately notify me of your pet's mannerisms and behaviors so I can ensure they are in a safe and comfortable environment. I am skilled in reading an aminal's energy, but it is always best if I hear it from you first.
A typical day
I’m willing to go on long walks in the city or on a trail. If your dog enjoys a jog, please let me know and I will prepare a path ahead of time. If the weather is too hot for a walk, I will engage your dog in indoor games.

Availability
I currently work from home for Fred Hutch - they just changed our lunch hours, so I am only available before 7:00am and after 3:30pm!!! At this time, I cannot accommodate mid-day walks unless there’s a special circumstance. I pick up occasional evening shifts at Barrels on Mercer Island. I live on the north end of MI, and prioritize local residents. If I am provided with adequate notice, I should be able to accommodate your needs outside of my listed availability if there is flexibility in the times that I can check in on your pet. Please don't hesitate to reach out! *In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience with reptiles and chickens. Please reach out for unique animal needs.
