Safety, trust & environment

Safety and comfort are always priority. During my time as a teacher, I learned that clear communication is key to any successful relationship. I require a free meet and greet before accepting any request. The meet and greet is a great time for you, your pet, and me to get to know each other, and discuss any routines and special considerations. I also request that you provide a written list of all important information including feeding and walking schedules, and a list of emergency contacts and veterinary information. My grandmother taught me, “it’s better to be safe than sorry”, and I am grateful to take this lesson with me into my profession.

Information Nicole G. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if there are any special requests or needs for your animal, of course any and all will be discussed during our first meet and greet, prior to my time with your pet.

A typical day

I love to go with the flow and individual needs of each animal. I can adjust my energy level to run and play all day with more active animals, or to kick back and take time smelling the roses and cuddling.

Pet care experience

My experience with pets includes all types of critters ranging from two legged feathered ones, four legged scaly ones, to four legged furry ones. I'm the proud mommy of a very catty cat, and two sweet bunnies. My pets are part of my family, and that is exactly how I will treat yours as well. Having taught middle school students, I'm quite efficient at managing sometimes unpredictable schedules and different personalities. I'm very playful yet organized, and love working with all kinds of animals. I'm quite patient, and enjoy watching their personalities unfold as they get to know me better. I Have worked with old as well sick animals, so I am more than capable to handle any emergency should one occur. I can administer medications as well. My neighbor and I are both pet sitters, and we often work together as each other's backups. We also help each other with our own and our other neighbor's pet. Because of that, we offer to both come to the initial meet and greet so you can meet both of us. I generally require a meet and greet to make sure we can see if we are a match. To me, my clients are part of my extended family, and I prefer long-term clients over constantly rotating ones. Leaving pets behind is always stressful, and having a long-term relationship with a sitter makes the separation a lot easier for both the pet and the owner.

Nicole did an amazing job! This is our first time using Rover. We had never had a complete stranger come to our house for house and pet sit before. Nicole did an excellent job of communicating throughout the stay. If she doesn’t know something she will ask first. She consistently updates us with pictures which we love. At one point she thought she messed up and communicated to us but she actually did the right thing. I love the transparency and honesty. One of our dogs require a lot of care and Nicole was up for the challenge. If you have a dog that requires a lot of care rest assure Nicole will be able to handle them. She knows how to give dogs medication. She left the house clean and even offered to do the laundry for us. I really appreciate her telling us when she leaves the house and how long. Communication is top notch which then helps us feel more at peace with our babies. We love our babies so much and wants to know they are well taken care of. And they were certainly well taken care of by Nicole.

Nicole is fantastic! My dog is wary of new people, and she met with us twice before our first booking to make sure he was comfortable with her. She sent great photos and updates the whole time, and I was completely at ease that my pups were well taken care of. Thank you, Nicole!
