Every pet is unique, and I always tailor my care based on their individual needs, routines, and personalities. Whether I’m watching pets in your home or welcoming them into mine, their comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. In your home: When caring for pets in their own home, I do my best to keep everything as close to their normal routine as possible. That includes feeding schedules, walk times, playtime, and any special instructions you provide—medications, favorite toys, calming techniques, etc. I make sure to keep the space tidy and give plenty of updates so you know your pets are in good hands. In my home: If your pet is staying with me, they’ll have a calm, pet-friendly environment where they’re treated like family. I make sure they have a cozy space to relax, lots of attention and affection, and safe play areas. I only accept pets who are a good fit for the environment, and I always do a meet-and-greet first to make sure everyone feels comfortable. My goal is to give your pets a stress-free, loving experience while you're away—and give you peace of mind, too.

Before watching a pet, I like to know as much as possible about their daily routine, preferences, and any special needs they may have. For example, understanding their exercise level (do they enjoy long walks or short bursts of play?), any food or medication requirements, and their temperament helps me create a more personalized experience. I also like to know if they have any favorite toys, specific habits, or triggers (like fear of loud noises or separation anxiety) so I can make them feel as comfortable and safe as possible. It’s also important to know if they get along well with other pets, how they react to strangers, and any behavioral quirks. The more I can learn about a pet, the better I can ensure they feel loved, secure, and entertained during their time with me
A typical day
I love making sure pets have a great time during their stay! For dogs, I’ll provide daily walks, interactive playtime with toys, and possibly trips to the dog park or a nature trail (depending on their energy level and preferences). I also enjoy playing fetch, tug-of-war, or working on new tricks if they’re up for it. For cats, I offer engaging play with interactive toys like laser pointers or feather wands, and I’ll create a cozy environment with plenty of windows for watching the outside world. I believe in making each pet feel special, so I customize the activities to their personality and needs. I always ensure that any activity is safe and that the pet is comfortable with it, whether it's relaxing on the couch or running around outside!

Hi there! I'm Nicole and animals have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up surrounded by all kinds of pets—large and small dogs, cats, horses, chickens, guinea pigs—you name it! I know every animal has their own personality and needs, and I treat every pet like they’re part of the family. I’ve also provided in-depth medical care for my own senior dog, so I’m comfortable administering medications, handling special diets, and giving pets the extra attention they may need during recovery or as they age. Nicole is amazing and a very responsible pet caregiver. I have seen first hand how amazing and devoted she was to her own dog and his complex medical needs. As someone who's dog is also a bit medically needy, I am not just going to trust anyone with my dog. Of the handful that I would trust, Nicole is top of the list due to her personal pet caregiving as well as her general medical understanding from her job. I know she would do anything and everything for any animal in her care. I would without a doubt use her to watch my pets in the future!
