I am at my happiest around animals and somehow they can tell! I would treat your animals as my own and you could leave them in my hands without a care in the world, knowing I would put their needs first. I have always had cats in the past but now have an adorable collie! I also have experience walking friends and family's dogs, as well as a lot of experience working in animal rescues. I love walking so long walks are of no problem at all!I am close to beautiful opne spaces! I also have house-sitting experience and can be relied upon to look after your home as well as your pets. I can travel to you if necessary. As a teacher, I am DBS checked and can provide references to vouch for my reliability, flexibility and love of animals. I have plenty of time, my days are busy walking my dog and volunteering at the local animal rescue. We walk in the woods and by the river for lots of playtime and also, at a small extra cost, can take your dog to a local agility centre, especially if recall is an issue, so your dog has plenty of safe playtime! I have a fenced, secure garden and a lot of space in the house itself, with plenty of toys which Rosie is happy to share!

Nicola was a wonderful sitter! She went out of her way to help us out with dog care when we were in a bind, and was incredibly kind and patient with our nervous rescue pup! Would definitely recommend Nicola’s services, and would be sure to use her again when in the area.
Although the overnight stay didn’t work out, Nicola was professional throughout. Communication was consistent in all our transactions. My fees have all been refunded.
Well all I can really say is 10/10. I’ve never done this before but due to a mix up of leaving dates we needed someone to have Freddie while we went white water rafting. A meet and great was needed and we instantly knew we didn’t want anyone else to look after Fred. Not only is Nicola so welcoming to kind to the dog but to us and went through what her day would be and where she would take Fred. Fred instantly clicked with Nicola and when we dropped him off for the day his tail was wagging and he dragged us to her. Nicola also has a beautiful Collie called Rosie who is just super friendly. We are hopefully coming back in October and have already shot gunned a play date. Again thank you very much for keeping Fred the very energetic cocker happy and occupied. Amazing service throughout
We were staying in Keswick for a week and wanted to have a day cycling so we contacted Nicola to see if she could look after our whippet, Margo. We arranged a meet and greet for the day before and then Margo spent a morning with Nicola. We aren’t away from Margo too often but Nicola was really reassuring and asked us plenty of questions to ensure she was best set to look after her. We felt really comfortable leaving her and it was clear she had a great time. Thanks Nicola!
2nd time we have asked Nicola to look after our puppy. It gives me comfort knowing our pup is well loved and cared for and can still enjoy a lap cuddle, which she loves! Our pup comes home absolutely exhausted in the best way and I know she has had the best time! Can definitely recommend her and we will of course be calling on Nicola again when needed.
Nicola looked after my dog Badger for 8 days while I was away on holiday. We did a practice night first at Nicola’s suggestion which was brilliant as it meant Badger was comfortable and knew Nicola and her dog Rosie already, before the full stay. I would definitely recommend this as it’s a good way to test the water before going away somewhere for a longer period. During both the practice and the full stay Nicola took such good care of badger, and cared for him as if he were her own dog. She sent regular updates and was always quick to reply if I had a question. From the videos and pictures, as well as the questions she asked, I could see that he was being really well looked after and having a wonderful time - it really put my mind at ease. Nicola also has a lovely, very friendly collie named Rosie who my dog absolutely loved - they played together a lot and I can tell he really misses her (and Nicola!) now he’s back home. Overall this was amazing, and I’ll definitely be asking Nicola if she will have Badger again in the future (very soon probably) :) thanks Nicola - you’re the best!
