Reactive dog trainer specialist🐶

Hi, I’m Morgan! I’m 25 year old dog trainer, currently living in Eastbourne. I have been passionate about working with dogs for over 7 years now. One fun fact about me is that I studied Law at university for 5 years, training to become a solicitor, and gave it up to run my own dog training business! I specialise in pet dog training (behavioural modification, obedience and tricks) and have done so with a range of dogs. My current project is working with Cardiff Dogs Home where I volunteer to walk their rescue dogs and spend time training with them, to make them more adoptable. Whilst I don’t currently own a dog myself (due to housing and my mother’s severe dog allergy) I have cared and trained countless dogs of all shapes and sizes- chihuahuas all the way up to Great Danes! In particular I have walked, trained and cared for a pair of energetic Dalmatians for over 5 years now, one of them being deaf. I have worked with their owners to walk on their loose lead walking, recall and general happiness… and provided many cuddles and hugs along the way! Furthermore, I have a close bond with my long term boyfriend’s Hungarian Vizsla, Lola, who I have trained from a puppy to an advanced obedience level. She also takes part in agility training which is great for a dog’s mental and physical health. She is featured a lot within the photos I have provided due to my background training her! I have genuinely never met a dog I didn’t love, no matter how crazy, nervous or misunderstood some can be! My motto is ‘there are never bad dogs, only owners who need help’. Because of my background with volunteering an my career with dog training, I have a lot of experience with ‘difficult’ dogs. This includes dogs who resource guard, have extreme anxiety, and dogs who struggle from fear-based aggression and reactivity. I treat every dog I look after with compassion, love and respect; the same way I would expect someone else to take care of a dog I owned. I also really love connecting with different owners and learning about their dog’s little quirks and what makes them…them!

Safety, trust & environment

I am very big on safety when it comes to dogs in my care- no matter what service I am providing. I understand dogs and owners alike want to have off lead freedom, and I do provide this once the dog has shown to be responsive in a range of environments. If you undertake training or regular training walk with me we will work towards teaching your dog a reliable recall- which will allow them to access off lead freedom with me. If there is any doubt of a dog running off, I do use a biothane long line (a very long lead of 15meters or more) to provide this freedom whilst keeping the dog safe! I always carry a spare slip lead, and other safety equipment such as a muzzle, when with someone’s dog which is essential in a rare case of a collar or harness snapping. A slip lead prevents a dog from being able to slip out accidentally and get loose which could lead to a scary situation! I always act in the best interest of your dog and their welfare is paramount to me. Having trust from an owner is of upmost importance to me, and so I will happily discuss any concerns or questions they will have for me when I am handling or looking after their dog! I utilise a range of equipment and will happily educate and work with owners to help them find the best fit for their dog.

Henrik loved having his good friend, Morgan, stay over last night. He was very disappointed to see her go again today, but we were very pleased to come home to a cl and home and a happy dog that I know was well looked after.

Schedule

As I run my own dog training business, Paws & Proceedings K9, I am able to provide walking and training services with a great deal with flexibility. However, there will be specific times where I will be away for dog training workshops or other business related events. I am available for walking, training services from 8am- 8pm everyday (with exceptions detailed below). I also offer tailored ‘sit & train services’ where I will look after your dog in the day (and overnight if needed) whilst keeping up their training with personalised training sessions, walks, and activities whilst you are away. The exceptions for my described availability are as follows. I may have limited availability to offer services on: Specified weekends and early mornings (see my calendar for dates) If you have any questions regarding my availability please don’t hesitate to message me and I can try to work to fit you in. I typically book up very quickly due to having a lot of repeat clients so please book early to avoid disappointment.

If your dog has any specific requirements (is reactive to other dogs, is nervous, needs to be muzzled, resource guards) then please do not hesitate to message me about it so we can work with a routine and training that will suit you and your dog. If your dog has any food allergies or intolerances please let me know as I like to reward my dog clients with treats for good choices during walks and training. At the end of the day, I just want your dog to be happy and healthy when under my care so the more information I am provided with, the better!
