I have been a trusted house sitter for 26 years
Pet care experience
I have lived on a farm most of my life, giving me a wealth of experience with many animals, including horses and small holdings. I have experience taking care of, reptiles, snakes, tarantulas and most UK household pets. # Currently, I am training to be a small animal hydrotherapist to assist vets with small animal rehabilitation post surgery. My Reiki level 2 qualification assists with my ability to naturally calm most dogs, creating a nurturing, supportive and fun environment to distract them from missing their human friends in your absence. Dogs will be well exercised, within their abilities, and I do encourage good manners and dogs will not be let off the lead when out and about. Regular pics and stories can be sent to assure you of their well being and adventures. I do live next to a secure dog walking field, if you would like me to do recall training on a long line etc, in your absence. I do prefer to house sit so the animals are in their familiar environment and am very practical, even overseeing house projects in the owners absence.

Reviews

Amazing stay and experience for little Theodore! He came back a very happy dog who had the best time!

Thanks so much to Olivia, who took great care of my rommie rescue. He obviously had a good time and was fond of her. Olivia sent me pictures everyday of the week we were away. I would definitely recommend her!

Kate was excellent with our dog Ellie well looked after and very happy xxx Would highly recommend

Everything you could ask for in a dog walker! Will defiantly use again.

Up early, straight out for a wee, (that's them not me). Breakfast if required, I'll grab a coffee and off we can go for the first walk, or if on a small hold, to check on and feed the other animals. Then a good brisk walk. Home for them to relax and me to get down to studying my animal hydrotherapy course. I do this in 40min stints and love a distraction either side of this. If they are a 'pub dog', in the evening, its a great excuse to nip in for a quick half and meet the locals if I'm out of area, I have met some great locals this way all around the UK, and it often brings me in more work as others in the area get to know me. Supper and a late night last wee. Sleeping in the bed if that's their normal routine, with water in the room.

Information Miss Olivia Kate B. would like to know about your pet
Not much phases me, I think from experience, I just need to know if they are a food pincher, climber or an escape artist. A basic overview of health and habits is usually enough.
A typical day
I love discovering new walks, woodlands are a favourite, lots of exciting smells and squirrels! Grooming to relax the dogs and otherwise, lots of tummy tickles and on the floor 'dog play', this is a great way of me earning trust of the animal and bringing out their personality.

Availability
I live alone and study from home, or wherever I am with my lap-top, so my schedule is completely open. If alone I go for a 30min-1 hour walk in the morning and a further 30min-40min walk in the evening. Depending on the animals needs, three a day is no problem. The remainder of the time, pets can sit by the fire or sit in the sun.
