Safety, trust & environment

I have a small 3bd home with a small fenced in yard. I live in a densely populated neighborhood with many dogs, and with a highly reactive pup I am very safety conscious and accustomed to providing vigilant supervision both when my dog goes out on his own to potty or while on walks.

Information Mindi C. would like to know about your pet

I like to be prepared and ask for any info you can provide if your dog is highly reactive. What are your dog’s triggers? Is there anything they respond particularly well to when stressed or fixated on a dog or person? Please inform me of any biting history or aggressive behavior! I have experience with many challenging behaviors and want your perspective on your unique pup.

A typical day

My pup is a high energy and highly reactive boy who needs a variety of activities both inside and out, but he is also a local sniff connoisseur and will spend an absurd amount of time with his nose in a single clump of grass. I’m happy to go where the daily needs take us with yours! From long walks to tug-o-war inside, luxurious brushing sessions or scent explorations, I’m down to discover what each dog likes best.

Pet care experience

I have a passion for rescue and believe pets deserve all the second and third chances! One of my first moves as an adult was adopting a rescue cat who was destined to be an only child in her forever home. Now with 3 rescue cats and one young rescue lab with a past, our home is at full capacity, but I love meeting new furry characters through pet sitting. I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family for nearly 2 decades. Recently we were in a bind to find someone in our circle to care for our rowdy pup, so we turned to the Rover community and immediately found a fantastic local dog walker. I love that Rover provides a place for pet parents to connect and I’m now in the local network of pet sitters as well! I believe every dog is an individual and should be respected as such. Every challenging behavior simply reflects a need. I know how tough it can be to find a good match for a rescue pup with a past, and I’d love to provide help as a sitter/walker who is comfortable navigating challenging behaviors! I love a cat who hisses at strangers, and I love a pup who has enough wild energy to power a small city.
