Cat mom to 2, cat whisperer to many
I have had cats for as long as I can remember. I currently have two cats, Noctis and Freyja, 2 and 9 respectively. Noctis was found on the side of the road trapped in a cat carrier, and Freyja is semi-feral. As their caretaker, I have grown to understand the unspoken needs of cats, and do my best to communicate through their language to gain their trust and love. I am a full time worker in the Portland area, (8-5) but will have availability before/after work, or possibly on lunch breaks to take care of your loved ones. I cannot board cats myself as my two cats would have adverse reactions, but I am more than willing to go to your home and follow whatever routines you have outlined for me.

I currently don’t accept animal boarding in my space, but I’m happy to care for your animal at your home. I follow routines and guidelines set out by pet parents in addition to building my own relationship with your pet.

After having a bad experience with another Rover sitter, I honestly wasn’t sure if I would ever use the service again—but necessity brought me back to the app. I’m so glad it did because Michelle completely exceeded my expectations. She provided so many photos and wrote really thoughtful, thorough check-in notes each visit. It was clear right away that she is truly a cat person. Because of that, I was able to focus on why I was out of town instead of watching the clock and waiting for updates—I knew Thistle was in kind and capable hands. Michelle treated my cat with such care and attention, and that peace of mind meant everything while I was away. I’m incredibly grateful she took such great care of Thistle, and I would absolutely recommend her to any fellow cat parent looking for a sitter they can trust.
Michelle was wonderful with our two shy cats! She was able to make friends with them and sent us great updates and photos every day. Would highly recommend!

Schedule
My work day is 9-5, I work remotely and live in the Portland area. I have pretty good flexibility throughout the day so I can schedule my breaks to go care for your pet, or visit before/after work.
