I had a Basset Hound named George that I had gotten from an animal shelter in 2009, the vet guessed his age to be around 6. He was the sweetest and goofiest character that kept me entertained every day! He was diagnosed with lung cancer in June of 2016. The vet said he only had 6 mos. to live without treatment. I dedicated all my time and energy to help this dog live as long as possible with chemo and radiation treatments and a slew of medications. He lived exactly 2 years after his diagnosis. Up until his very last day you would have never known this special boy had an illness. He was an amazing dog and very dear to my heart and I still miss him every day. I will take this same dedication to take care of your pet because I know how special they can be to someone!!
