I always make sure the fur baby has fresh water and food. Additionally, I keep the space clean and tidy if the pet made a mess (e.g. near the litter box or water bowls). Lastly, I give new pets time and space to get used to me. I don't invade their personal space and wait for them to make the initiative.

I have cat/dog-sitted for a couple of friends on multiple occasions. They were extremely satisfied with my service. Additionally, I have four cats at home! So, I am familiar with taking care of cats.
