As a remote worker and full-time pet and house sitter, caring for pets naturally fits into my daily routine. My flexible schedule allows me to give each animal plenty of attention throughout the day-whether that's morning walks, midday playtime, feeding, or evening cuddles. I organize my work hours around the pets' needs, making sure they maintain their usually routines and feel comfortable and cared for. This balance lets me stay productive while providing consistent companionship and reliable care for every pet I look after.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in their own homes, I focus on creating an environment that feels safe, comfortable, and familiar for them. I maintain a calm, clean and secure space, ensuring doors, gates and feeding areas are always managed responsibly. Building trust is at the heart of what I do-both with the pets and their owners-by communicating regularly, following instructions closely, and treating every home and animal with genuine respect and care.

Information Michele M. would like to know about your pet

Things I like to know about my clients prior to our time together: Health and Medical History Diet and Feeding (including any allergies or off limit foods) Behavior and treatment- is your pet shy? Does your pet like to be the one to initiate interactions? How does your pet respond when presented with other animals? How much exercise or activity does your pet need? Is your pet in the process or training or learning new commands? What are your pets' daily routines? Does your pet have any physical restrictions? Please list all emergency contacts as well as your pets preferred health care provider for daytime or emergency care.

A typical day

A typical day when I'm pet sitting for a client begins with a cheerful greeting and setting up a comfortable, safe environment for your pets inside the home. The morning may include a walk, or if you prefer no outdoor long walks, we will have a bit of morning slow play and stimulation to get your pet ready for the day. Typically, the first of the day I will give food and fresh water. Feeding times are adjusted according to your pet's routine. Through the day I typically do work online. During that time, I generally will take regular 15-20 min breaks every two hours for a potty break and a bit of exercise. This can be paying in the yard or play indoors. In the evening dinner for your pets and a walk, for indoor pets this will include dinner and some indoor play time. This is also a good time of day to work on any training that your pet may be engaged in and the use of treats for learning commands. Later in the evening I love to have a glass of tea and snuggles while crocheting or watching a show.
