I am a stay at home mom who loves being active. As a family we spend lots of time outside playing and enjoying what our 40 acre home has to offer. We go on two walks a day- weather permiting. Inside pets are family members who live in the house WITH us. Couch time is always available with additional beds on all different rooms if the pup prefers their own space. We have all verious types of toys including puzzle games, snuffle mats and for the heavu chewers, kongs, antlers, and bully sticks. We live away from the hectic lifestyle that most have and love it that way.

Safety, trust & environment

I do occasionally take on a couple of families pets at the same time but do keep the pets seperated for safety purposes. If you feel youre dogs would be happier being the only visitors, let me know and we can almost always figure something out. I have a large area for dogs to run and play by themselves if they prefer or can spend time with our two friendly dogs who love to play even more.I offer crates if needed. But typically allow them run of the house and let them sleep where they are comfortable. Pets are more than welcome make themselves comfortable on the furniture or bed. Medications or speciality diets are no issue. Im always willing to discuss accommodations. Message me and we will see what will work to best make your pets the most comfortable.

Information Micheala S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know how you typically keep them at home if you need to leave. It helps me make them the most comfortable if i do need to step out for just a few minutes. If your dog has any specials needs, health concerns, dietary issues or restrictions or medications, that is no problem for me. I have done everything from massage to oral meds to even injectable. As I do have children and pets, let me know how your pet gets along with those and we can always discuss further if other pets are an issue. I do have a large property and home so temporary separation would be no issue at all. I've had to do so when fostering for the humane society and my dogs think nothing of it to stick to one end of the house. I also have large fenced in pens if they need time to themselves or dont get along as well with others.

A typical day

We spend a lot of time outside.Exploring, enrichment activities and excercise are always a part of our day. Puzzles and snuffle mats are available if your dog likes those. If a slower style fits your dog, that is okay too! Lots of comfy spaces in our home with kids who love nothing more than to give belly scratches and treats! I have a huge porch with a gate that gives them access from the house to the sunny porch whenever they want.

Pet care experience

I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments—from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra care. ⭐ Puppy training (basic obedience, focus work, and tricks) ⭐ Senior and palliative care experience ⭐ Fostered rescue dogs through local humane societies ⭐ Experience helping to run a boarding facility ⭐ Farm-raised with lifelong horse and animal experience ⭐ Comfortable with medications and special routines ⭐ Loving, family-oriented environment with plenty of attention and cuddles My love for animals started on the farm and through 4-H, where I learned responsible animal care from an early age. My parents operated a quality Dachshund breeding program, giving me experience with puppy development and socialization. I've spent years pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors, and I've had horses my entire life. One of my greatest privileges was caring for our beloved Labrador through her golden years, providing palliative care until she peacefully passed at 13. I understand that every pet has unique needs and deserve patience, love, and individualized care. When your pet stays with us, they won't just be watched—they'll be loved, spoiled, and welcomed as part of the family.

Micheala was fantastic with my dogs. They got to be part of her family for a week long vacation. They had plenty of room to roam about and fun playing with her family. Will definitely book again! ~ Michaela was also very accommodating with my flaky schedule!!! Thanks again!!

Michaela took wonderful care of my 3 huskies while I was away for the day. She was competent, confident and caring at the meet and greet, and I can tell from her descriptions of my pets’ behaviors in her updates that they really liked her. I would absolutely rebook Michaela and recommend her to others. Great sitter!
