Pet care experience
Your pet's health and safety is my first priority. I make sure to care for their needs before my own. After that, we play and have fun. I grew up on a small farm in northern California and love all animals. Horses, cows, goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks and turkeys. Oh, and dogs and cats! Currently I have no pets of my own and miss having the warm welcome and unconditional love that pets offer. Cleanliness and hygiene are important to me but I am not a germaphobe. I like to be sure that Rover's dishes are clean and sleeping area comfortable. I love to groom furry friends and bathe as needed. I am currently working part-time, have no children or obligations at home so my schedule is very flexible. I have very reliable transportation and a number of personal references that I encourage you to check into. I have posted photos of my client's babies for your viewing pleasure.

Melanie has taken care of our 2 little dogs several times. They are always happy & healthy when we return. We really appreciate that she leaves the house clean & tidy. She sends us pictures also of her cuddling with our dogs! We will use her every time! Thank you Melanie!
Melanie did a wonderful job taking care of my older Shih Tzu and a younger Pomeranian. She was wonderful with them and in my house. I highly recommend her.
Melanie did a great job house sitting my dogs. It makes time away much more enjoyable when you know your furry babies are well taken care of. Melanie is an effective communicator. This is so important to me because nothing gets lost in translation then. I would absolutely request Melanie to come care for my pets at my home again.
Melanie was the perfect pet sitter for us. She sent daily photos and comments which was very reassuring. I have never left my dog with someone who was not a family member so I was a bit nervous but everything worked out well. She came and met my dog before our trip and went over his daily routine. My dog was well taken care of and I will definitely use her services again.

A typical day
A number of my regular clients have sensitive, or nervous pets who are not used to strangers in the home. I make a point of approaching slowly, talk softly and put your pets at ease. I am a non-smoker. I never invite people over to your home (I've been told some pet sitters do that). Keeping your pets relaxed and happy while you're away is my goal.
