I am a enthusiastic, energetic doggy mummy who loves nothing more than the company of dogs! I have 2 beautiful, friendly cockapoos who I love to take on lovely long walks. I have grown up with dogs having owned a wide variety of breeds in all shapes and sizes - from spaniels to Great Danes! I have been looking after friends dogs when they need it, a house full of dogs is a happy one! I have 3 grown up children who have all left home and I’m lucky enough to spend my days at home with my fur babies. I am fortunate enough to spend my days at home with my dogs. They are both very social and enjoy the company of other dogs. My husband works part time at home so we enjoy taking the dogs out together for a walk. I have a fully secure home and garden. My dogs sleep in my bedroom with me so I am happy to have other dogs in my room if that is what they are used to. I’m also happy to keep dogs in a crate, in the lounge, I have a utility room and a snug so I’m happy for dogs to sleep wherever they feel most comfortable. I have recently completed a pets first aid course and I have a certificate which lasts for 3 years.

Melanie was amazing with Milo and we’re so glad we found her. She took him on at short notice and met up with us beforehand to get to know him, which we especially appreciated as this was the first time we’d left him with anyone outside our family. We loved getting daily photos of Milo out on walks with her dogs or snuggled up in front of the fire on her lap. He clearly had the best time and came home very happy. Thanks so much, Melanie, we wouldn’t hesitate to book again!
On arrival Melanie was outside to greet us. She was all smiles and welcoming. I was anxious. My daughter was not well 23 weeks pregnant I had to take her to A&E urgently and sent a request for short notice daycare and Melanie responded quickly. She looked after my little man really well. She had many dogs when we arrived but you could see she was totally at ease and in control of them all. Thank you Melanie if I need you again I will call. You even gave him snuggles when the fireworks started that meant a lot. 💜💜💜
Leah loved her time with Melanie! ☺️ Communication with Melanie is great! Received lots of updates and pictures throughout the day.
Betsy had a wonderful time. Id highly recommend Melanie and will absolutely take Betsy back to her again
Banjo came back exhausted but happy. Melanie kept us up to date with numerous photos/videos and he looked to be having great fun x
Banjo’s first time at Doggy Day Care so I was a little nervous but Melanie put me straight at ease by sending numerous videos and photos throughout the day of Banjo having lots of fun! He came home tired but happy 😊 and I feel 100% confident taking Banjo there again next week for a couple of days whilst we attend a wedding. Melanie is friendly and efficient and I highly recommend her

I am at home all day and my husband works from home most days so there is always someone here to look after the dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a totally fenced and secure back garden. I have a crate which I could use for your fur baby if you wanted me to. Unfortunately mine didn’t get on with being crated. The dogs can jump on my furniture if that’s what they are used to and hopefully feel at home. My dogs sleep in my room and I would be happy for any dogs staying here to sleep with us too.
Pets
A typical day
My dogs love chasing balls and we often spend hours throwing them in the park and garden. Belfairs woods is our favourite place for a walk because most dogs love the stream.
