Hi, I am Megan! I have been lucky enough to grow up surrounded by animals, starting with two rescue cats my parents surprised me and my sister with as kids. Since then, our home became a little zoo - 4 cats, a dog, 2 tortoises, 2 rabbits (plus lots of babies!), and 2 hamsters. Caring for such a variety of pets taught me the importance of love, attention, and responsible pet care. With years of hands-on experience, including house-sitting for my own pets and helping neighbours with their cats and dogs while they were away, I am confident in providing top-notch care. Since moving to Colchester with my partner, I have really missed having furry friends around, so I would love to help care for yours! Whether it is walks, playtime, or snuggles, I’m here to make sure your pets feel happy and loved while you are away. While I sadly can't host pets in my home due to rental restrictions, I am more than happy to provide care in your home or take your pup on fun outdoor adventures. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members!

Megan was a DREAM! She was super respectful, Gus had the best day. It was super hot that day but Megan looked after Gus so well, made sure he was drinking enough and had enough shade breaks throughout the day - it’s no mean feat doing that with a dog whose obsessed with playing in the sun!!

Whether it is feeding, administering medication, or sticking to their favourite walking route, I provide attentive and responsible care. I take extra precautions to ensure pets are always safekeeping doors and gates secure, using a leash on walks, and being mindful of any anxieties or special needs they may have. Building trust is key, so I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and preferences to make sure they feel comfortable and happy in my care. I also respect and take care of the home I am in, keeping everything tidy and treating it as I would my own. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I can’t wait to meet them!

A typical day
Willow (my family dog) needs lots of exercise so the best way to look after her needs is to drive into the countryside and let her off the lead with a frisbee/tennis ball. She is not fussed by food at all and so this is the best way to keep her happy and stimulated.

Availability
I have plenty of availability to care for your pets! Most weekends and Tuesdays are free, so I can dedicate extra time to walks, playtime, and keeping your pets happy. I am also available most evenings for drop-in visits, walks, or even overnight stays if your pet needs some company while you are away. Whether you need someone for a quick check in, a long walk, or overnight care, I would love to help! Just let me know what works best for you and your furry friend.
