I prefer to care for pets in their own home, since staying in a familiar environment is far less stressful than being boarded somewhere new — they keep their usual routines, smells, and safe spaces, which is especially helpful for shy or anxious pets. This familiarity leads to a calmer, happier experience overall. If your pet goes outside, I always accompany them to ensure their safety and keep a close eye out for any hazards

A typical day
I love engaging dogs and cats with their own toys, along with games and puzzles that keep them mentally stimulated. With pet parents' permission, I'll also take dogs to the park for some extra fun and exercise.

Growing up surrounded by animals, I've developed a deep love and understanding for pets from an early age — a bond that has grown into over 15 years of hands-on care. That lifelong passion has become genuine expertise, including specialized experience with senior dogs, who require extra patience, gentleness, and attentiveness as they navigate mobility changes and shifting routines. Also well-versed in administering medication for pets with ongoing health needs, managing everything from daily pills to more complex treatment schedules with a calm, reassuring approach. Whether caring for a senior dog, a pet with a chronic condition, or simply a furry friend in need of a loving caretaker, I always bring the same compassion and responsibility built from a lifetime around animals.

I highly recommend Meagan! She has taken great care took great care of our dog(s) and home over the years while we have been out of town for the weekend, and even when it's been over a longer period of time. We were able to enjoy our trips and felt at ease knowing the dogs (and our home) were in great capable hands with Meagan. We have lost both of our dogs over the past few years but I will be using her again as soon as we replace our dog and I definitely would recommend hiring her!
I have used Meagan more than once. She is great . Our dog Sandy loves her. Meagan walks the dog, feeds and plays with her. Meagan is trustworthy. We have no concerns when she takes care of Sandy.
Over the last 10+ years Megan has been watching my cats when I travel. Megan always makes sure they have fresh water, their dry food is readily available and they receive their daily treat of wet, canned food. She takes on the task of cleaning the litter boxes, which is no fun. I know Megan is also very experienced with dogs and probably enjoys getting to walk them. My cats are not allowed outside, so no walking or leash training required. A few years ago one of my older felines was on daily kidney medicine. Megan took charge of administering his medicine while I was out town. Not an easy task to get a cat to take meds! Megan has a gentle, calming disposition, which makes pets feel secure and comfortable in our absence. Megan is trustworthy and reliable.
