Normally I do wake up and let my dog run for about 2-3 hours :)). I have a personal ice maker for chewable cubes for the dogs! I do allow animals on furniture as they are part of the family!

When I wake up I feed my dog breakfast and then take him for a run and let him play in the yard for 3 hours
My corgi is very high energy so if you do have an older pup I would be able to keep him under control :) :)
