I'm currently a full-time student at UCSB! Aside from my classes, I have a show at the university radio station, KCSB-FM, and occasionally do engineering gigs there for live performances. This leaves me with a lot of free time to take care of your pets! I'm a double major and have held part-time jobs throughout college; therefore, managing my time is no problem at all!

I live in a studio apartment across from a park with lots of grass! I have no problem working within whatever confines are needed for your pet, such as potty breaks or preferred sleeping arrangements. I'm able to crate your pets if desired and feel comfortable working however is most desirable to you and your furry friend!

Making sure your pet is having fun is my priority! I'd love to play with your dog, whether that be throwing the ball, running around together, playing tug, or just going on a long walk! I live directly across from a park, which is a grassy area perfect for playing. I also live close to the Butterfly Preserve, which contains lots of long trails out in nature that are perfect for dog walks! I also live close to Girsh Park, which is another big grassy park perfect to have fun with your dog at! I love to run around and play with the dogs for as long as they want, or walk with them until they've gotten the zoomies out!

I worked summers for 4 years at a pet groomer's where I washed, dried, groomed, and transported dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I also worked as a pet sitter/dog walker for Sitter4Paws, where I walked, fed, cleaned, played with, administered medications, and provided care to dogs. These dogs ranged from puppies to seniors, dogs with medical needs, timid, shy, and stand-offish dogs. I have experience with/walking groups of dogs of all shapes and sizes. I also own a big 90 lb labradoodle who is 11, so I feel very comfortable handling bigger dogs as well!

Maya took great care of my fur-baby!! She is very attentive and responsive to any and all needs. I needed a place for my cat to stay last minute and I’m so grateful it worked out as this was a purr-fect match.
I worked with Maya at Sitters4Paws for a year. She always exhibited lots of care for the animals we cared after. She wrote meaningful recaps, and formed bonds with both cats and dogs giving an excitement for when she got to see them again. Maya is a great example of what an animal caretaker should look like.
Hello! My name is James and I was recommended to Maya by a family friend who consistently needs help with her cats, all 3 of them. I just had one cat, but she’s very picky and basically a wallflower, but Maya was super patient with her and really brought her out of her comfort zone in a way I had never seen any of my friends or family do. I felt perfectly comfortable going on my trip with Maya in charge of my cat and I will go back to her whenever I need help again!
As Maya's friend and previous roommate of 3 years, I would recommend her as a pet caregiver because she is caring, reliable, organized, and great with pets! We lived with a cat, and Maya took excellent care of him whenever she was asked to pet-sit, in addition to taking great care of her dog at home.
