Safety, trust & environment
Your pet's safety and comfort are our top priorities. When house sitting, we follow your routine closely to keep things familiar and stress-free for your pet. We’re respectful of your home and aim to leave it just as we found it—if not better. For dog walking, we use secure leashes and harnesses, avoid unsafe areas, and always keep a close eye on your dog’s comfort and energy level. During doggy daycare, your pet will have a calm, supervised environment with lots of attention, play, and breaks as needed. We're happy to accommodate special needs, medications, or quirks—just let us know!
Ratings and reviews
Matt and Mary Beth dropped in on Ipo several times over the course of three days while we had long days out of the house. From the initial meet and greet Ipo loved them and we trusted them to take good care of him. They were so attentive and asked all the right questions. After each visit they sent us an update and plenty of pictures of Ipo basking in their attention. Every night when we got home we could tell that he had been taken great care of. He even ate dinner for them no problem, which is sometimes a struggle. We’re over the moon with how well it went and we will definitely be using Matt & Mary Beth in the future!!
Matt and Marybeth stayed at our home for 3 days to watch our Newfie. They were absolutely terrific from the first communication through the entire stay— always very prompt, thorough and quickly asked questions as needed. They kept us informed throughout the stay with updates & pics. You can tell from the pics that our Newfie was enjoying her time with them. If we could give them more than 5 stars we would. We plan to use them again.
Matt did a great job with my dogs! He took good care of the house as well. He was also very flexible as I originally booked him for July but then had a change of plans and luckily he was available in August! Would definitely recommend him!
Great Communication. On time, and very caring to our pet. They went above and beyond and even hung-out with my dog after the walk. Could not recommend more highly. Strongly advise you book with Matthew!!
Matthew was awesome ! Luna came back happy and he sent us pictures of her time with him.
Matt and Mary Beth are the most caring pet sitters we know. They are very attentive and really follow any special directions we may have with our Bennie. We would highly recommend them! You will not be disappointed. Trust worthy, punctual and caring!

Schedule
We both have very flexible schedules! Matthew is an PhD student and Mary Beth works from home, so we're both available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, or overnight care. We love walking and biking around the West End of Hartford, but we do have cars for extra flexibility.
