Unfortunately, this stay did not meet my expectations. The sitter’s profile states that there are no dogs in the home, but she has a large dog. I specifically filter for dog-free homes because Zoey is a senior dog under 10 pounds, so not being informed of this before the stay was booked was a significant safety concern. Communication was also limited. I received no photos during the stay and only received an update after I reached out several hours later. Despite providing specific arrival times, the sitter was not in the lobby for either drop-off or pickup, and I waited several minutes both times. Most concerning was the way Zoey was handled. At drop-off, Zoey was reluctant to leave me, and instead of comforting her, picking her up, or waiting until I was out of sight, the sitter pulled her away by the leash while Zoey resisted. At pickup, the sitter was not watching where she was walking and kicked Zoey’s back leg fairly hard. She did not acknowledge it or check on Zoey afterward. The stay was completed, but the inaccurate profile, limited communication, and handling of my small senior dog mean I would not book with this sitter again.
