Camp Iwanna Barkalot
Pet care experience
I have been around animals my whole life as my Grandfather was a Veterinarian. My best memories are of spending summer breaks with him and learning about all types of animals. I have been a Rover sitter down in North Carolina since 2016. In 2025 I moved back home to Vestal to be with my family and grandchildren. I understand that families are extremely busy these days and that it’s not always possible to get home right after work to tend to your pups or cats needs. I would love to offer my assistance in making you and your pups day less stressful and can do drop ins 1:30pm- 4:00pm. I have a small beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood and have three of my own fur babies. Since the day I began my Daycare and Boarding adventure in Rover my three small pups have been my little Camp Counselors assisting and loving having new friends to play with. They get along with all types of pups and they are very happy sharing their toys, beds and home. I have a 4 year old shih-tzu poodle who is very playful and loves running around, barking at squirrels and having a friend to do all the typical puppy antics. I do require a Meet & Greet for any first time client, were we can discuss your needs, expectations and each pups personal preferences. I do offer puppy care as long as they have had all their required puppy shots as the health of your pup and the other pups is of utmost importance. I also keep a file on each pup that I take care of and i will ask for a copy of their updated shots from their veterinarian for their personal file. Please feel free to read my reviews and contact me with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your consideration, I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies. Mary

Reviews

The best of the best. I was very anxious about leaving my dog for the weekend since he has not been away from me in a while and he has some health issues, but after my first visit with Mary and her dogs all of my worries went away. She is extremely kind and professional and made me feel confident that Goose would be safe in her home. Not only was he taken care of, but I can tell that he was loved. I was sent multiple updates and never had to be the one to reach out and ask how things were going. I wish I could rate her higher than 5 stars.

This was the first time we have left our dogs with anyone but family. We cannot say enough good things about Mary. We will definitely be using her in the future.

Mary took excellent care of our Sadie. Sadie really enjoyed her time with Mary and her fur babies. 🥰

Mary was kind and welcoming. She sent plenty of pictures of our dog while we were away. We felt she took good care of our dog and communicated well with us.

Information Mary Y. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know all their routines, habits, likes and dislikes. I enjoy hosting well socialized pups and I also have a soft spot in my heart for the older or senior pups. I prefer not to do drop ins with aggressive dogs as I am not a trainer and someone better qualified in aggressive dogs would be a better fit for you and your needs.
A typical day
I love getting to know each pup or kitties personality. I enjoy throwing a ball or playing tug of war. Of course my lap is always available for those cuddly pups. I try to maintain the same schedule the pups have at home. I enjoy taking several pictures throughout the day and will send you updates to keep you informed on how your pup is enjoying their stay.

Availability
I am retired and have plenty of time and energy to make your pup feel like his stay is truly his own vacation. My neighborhood is small, quiet and quaint, with very little traffic. Behind the house is woods with plenty of deer and squirrels to entertain the pups. I have a fence that will safely contain the pups in the back yard, and I am always out with them supervising their playtime and activities.
