Mary was great with our boy. Our boy is 1 yr 5 month old big ~80lb puppy. She took great care of him and gave us lots of pictures. Super happy with her as a sitter. Thanks!

Mary really saved me when I was in a tough spot. My other dog watcher cancelled on me the day before I was supposed to leave for a trip and Mary responded promptly to me when I reached out and then made herself available for a meet and greet right away. She was extremely responsive and gave me multiple updates throughout the weekend with Rue. I am so grateful to have found her and would highly recommend using her for your bookings! Your pup will be in great hands!

Information Mary I. would like to know about your pet

To provide the best possible care for a dog, it is essential to gather important information about them ahead of time. This information helps me understand their specific needs, personality, and any special requirements they may have. Here are some key details I consider crucial to know: 1. Medical Information: It's vital to have information about the dog's medical history, including any existing health conditions, allergies, or medications they may require. If the dog has any specific dietary needs or restrictions, that information is also essential to ensure their well-being. 2. Veterinary Contact: Having the contact information for the dog's regular veterinarian is crucial in case of emergencies or if any health concerns arise during their time under my care. This allows me to seek professional guidance promptly. 3. Behavioral Traits: Understanding a dog's behavior helps me tailor my approach and ensure their comfort. Details about their sociability, temperament, any anxiety triggers, or specific fears enable me to create a safe and stress-free environment for them. 4. Exercise and Activity Requirements: Knowing the dog's exercise needs, energy level, and preferred activities allows me to plan suitable exercise routines and engage them in activities that keep them mentally and physically stimulated. It ensures they receive the appropriate amount of exercise and playtime to maintain their well-being. 5. Feeding and Dietary Preferences: Information about the dog's regular feeding schedule, portion sizes, and dietary preferences is crucial to maintain their nutritional routine. It also helps me ensure they receive their meals on time and according to their specific dietary requirements. 6. Training and Commands: Understanding the dog's training level, known commands, and any ongoing training programs allows me to maintain consistency in their training routine. It ensures a seamless experience for the dog, reducing any confusion or setbacks in their training progress. 7. Leash and Recall Behavior: Knowing how a dog behaves on a leash and their recall ability is essential for ensuring their safety during walks and outdoor activities. This information helps me take the necessary precautions and adjust the level of control required based on their behavior. 8. Socialization Preferences: Information about the dog's socialization preferences, including their comfort level with other dogs, people, and children, helps me plan appropriate interactions and outings that align with their preferences and promote their well-being. By gathering this important information ahead of time, I can provide personalized and attentive care that meets the unique needs of each dog. It enables me to create a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience, ensuring their well-being and happiness while under my watch.

A typical day

As a dog sitter, I understand the importance of providing engaging and fun activities for the dogs under my care. I tailor these activities based on their individual preferences, energy levels, and any specific instructions from their owners. Here are some of the fun activities I enjoy doing with the dogs I watch: 1. Stimulating Walks: I believe that walks are not only for exercise but also an opportunity for dogs to explore and engage their senses. I choose scenic routes, parks, and dog-friendly trails that offer a variety of sights and smells. These walks allow dogs to enjoy their surroundings and provide mental stimulation while getting their exercise. 2. Interactive Playtime: Playtime is an essential part of a dog's routine. I engage dogs in interactive games such as fetch, tug-of-war, and hide-and-seek to keep them entertained and mentally stimulated. I also bring along a variety of toys that cater to their specific interests, whether it's chasing a ball, playing with a squeaky toy, or solving puzzle toys for treat rewards. 3. Dog Park Adventures: If the dog is social and enjoys interacting with other dogs, I may take them to a well-maintained and safe dog park. Here, they can socialize, play, and burn off energy while being supervised and following park rules. It's a great way for dogs to make new friends and enjoy off-leash play in a controlled environment. 4. Nature Hikes: For dogs that enjoy a more adventurous outing, I may take them on nature hikes in suitable trails or wilderness areas. These hikes provide a chance for dogs to explore different terrains, encounter new scents, and experience the beauty of nature. It's an enriching activity that allows them to engage their senses and satisfy their curiosity. 5. Enrichment Games: Mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise. I incorporate enrichment activities into their routine, such as treat puzzles, scent games, and obedience training. These activities challenge their minds, promote problem-solving skills, and provide a sense of accomplishment. 6. Relaxation and Bonding: Some dogs prefer calmer activities, such as gentle petting, cuddling, or relaxing in a comfortable space. I respect their individual needs and provide quiet moments for bonding and relaxation, ensuring they feel secure and loved. Ultimately, the activities I choose depend on the dog's personality, energy level, and preferences. I aim to strike a balance between physical exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities for socialization, ensuring each dog receives a tailored and enjoyable experience while under my care.
