A Pet’s Best Friend
I have had over 10 years experience with dogs of various kinds since childhood. I had 3 dogs of my own and have taken care of pets for friends and family (cats included). I understand that each pet has its own special needs and personality, just like a person does. I take time to know the pet, let them get to know me, and adjust accordingly to their wants/needs. I am trained to notice signs of discomfort, excitement, anxiety, hunger, and more; being attentive is what’s most important to me. Whether it be walking, pet sitting, or overnight care, I’ll be sure to be a wonderful caretaker of your pet.

Marquis was amazing with our girl, Zora! He was attentive, caring, and kept us updated throughout her stay with regular photos and updates on her activities. He was also incredibly flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, which made everything so easy and stress-free. I highly recommend Marquis and would absolutely trust him with Zora again!
Marquis took great care of Gent while I was away for 5 days. Sent updates and checked in periodically. Was very flexible with pick up and drop off times. Would 100% use him again in the future. With Gent being a high energy Malinois and not for everyone, Marquis was up for it, and welcomed the challenge. Can’t thank him enough for such a simple seamless experience

Marquis was a wonderful dog sitter. He spent quality time our girl, taking her to the dog park, walks around the neighborhood, and even let her snuggle on the couch. Marquis was easy to communicate with, reassuring with his knowledge and experience with other pets, and had a calming presence. I would highly recommend him for your furry family!

Schedule
I’m currently working 25-30 hours a week, so my availability is flexible. I also have a daily routine of exercise and grocery shopping that can be coordinated around pet care hours.

I have a spacious 2bd, 2 bath apartment that can accommodate pets of any size - pets are allowed in the building. There’s quick and easy access to the outdoors for walking and a pet washing station in the building across the street if needed. My building Is very close to dog parks and pet stores should I have the need for any supplies. If caring in a clients home, I make sure to take specific instruction from the owner on care requirements. It’s important to know that it is the pet’s home and I am just a visitor, so being attentive to their space is what I do best.
A typical day
Dogs require just as much exercise as we do, maybe even more depending on the dog. So, long walks and playtime outside will always be a part of my activities with your dog. I’ll always make sure they are staying hydrated and rest when needed. I’ll walk them to nearby parks so they can become familiarized with the neighborhood, bring toys, blankets and water for times they want to rest or play. For high energy dogs, lots of toys for playtime and a brisk walk or jog. For lower energy or older dogs, we’ll stroll the neighborhood and take our time to enjoy the weather. Treats and snacks will always be on hand!
