I try to keep pets on the routine they’re used to so they feel comfortable and stress-free. This includes feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. In a client’s home, I make sure their pet feels secure in their own space and that the home is kept clean and respected. I also provide updates and photos so owners know their pets are happy and doing well while they’re away.

Things like feeding schedule, medications, energy level, triggers with other dogs or people, and any training commands they know are important. I also like to know their favorite toys, treats, and anything that helps them feel comfortable so I can give them the best care possible.

I love keeping dogs active and mentally stimulated. Depending on the dog’s energy level, we might go on walks, play fetch, do puzzle toys, practice basic training, or just enjoy some cuddle time. I also like letting dogs explore and get enrichment through sniff walks, which is great for their mental stimulation. Every dog is different, so I adjust activities based on what they enjoy most.

What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give every dog. I run a dog walking business called Marlee’s Mountain Miles, so working with dogs is something I take seriously and truly enjoy. I’m experienced with puppies who are still learning routines, as well as senior dogs who may need slower walks, medication reminders, or extra patience. I focus on making pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away, and I always treat them like they’re my own.
