In My Home (Boarding): A Safe, PuppyProofed Space: Having dealt with a young puppy, my home is dog-proofed. There are no loose cords, toxic plants, or small items left out for curious mouths to chew on. Supervised Introductions: Because I have an active 8 month old puppy, all dog interactions are strictly supervised. I make sure play stays balanced and fun. If a guest dog prefers their own space or gets tired, I easily separate them using baby gates, crates or different rooms so everyone feels secure. Medical & Dietary Security: I strictly follow your feeding, supplement, and medication schedules. Because of my background with intensive medical care for my senior dogs, I am incredibly observant of a dog’s body language and behavior to make sure they are comfortable, happy, and healthy. Out on Walks: Strict Leash Safety: Dogs are always kept securely on leash and I always ensure that collars and harnesses are properly fitted before we ever step out the door. No Unpredictable Greetings: For safety and trust, I do not let guest dogs greet strange or unknown dogs while we are out on walks. We focus entirely on a fun, peaceful, and stimulating walk unless you allow for friendly greetings. Senior Mobility Support: If I am walking an older pup, we go at their pace. I also have a doggy cart when walking is too much so that they still get to enjoy the fresh air safely without overexerting themselves. I also have a dog carrier - similar to a baby carrier that I got for my chihuahua. Silly but it really worked! That is also available for small dogs if your dog is open to it.
