This is a cult for dogs
Pet care experience
Animals have always been at the center of my life. Training horses and dogs is second nature to me. I have a degree in ethology (animal behavior) and a proven track record being able to communicate with and improve the confidence of animals in my care. Starting during Covid I have had a steady influx of boarding requests first just for friends and it grew into a viable business through word of mouth. Right now I can host dogs but I am available for walks, check-ins, or overnights at your house.
Reviews

Margaret is great! We appreciated her thoughtfulness, skill, and sweetness. Our dogs were well taken care of.

Meg was truly wonderful! She sent us tons of photos and videos as requested and took such good care of our pup. Lots of walks, social time, snuggles etc. Really easy to communicate with and always responsive so we weren’t left worrying or wondering what was going on. Would definitely book with her again!

Margaret was wonderful! She sent us lots of updates and photos of Peanut during her overnight stay and she was very flexible since we were running late. Thank you!!

Meg took excellent care of our dog Ryu. It was a big relief to see how well she looked after our dog and the mini adventures he got to go on with her. He had tons of fun playing with the other dogs in her care. She also made a big accommodation for us when we had to change our schedule last minute due to our baby coming early.

Safety, trust & environment
The yard is safely fenced, the house has plenty of room to explore and sprawl out. Team building starts immediately. Toys and treats and snuggles are not starter currency here. Rewards are respect and access. Clarity is kindness and my leadership is not confusing. Everything in my house is mine and I make all the rules and decisions. We have boundaries and then we have calm and only then do we have fun. And be assured we have great fun :)
Information Margaret F. would like to know about your pet
I do not take dogs that aren’t 100% potty trained, whether it’s a puppy, medical issue, behavioral or situational. I am not willing to sacrifice my carpets or take on the task of training them out if this.
A typical day
We learn sit /heal /come. Really. These are nonnegotiable before you are let off the leash anywhere. It happens fast because dogs like having a job and their new job is to pay attention to me. Being on this team feels like safety and satisfaction. Now we can romp around the trails and the beaches and town, go visit neighbors, road trip, eat at restaurants, win at the dog park.

I am home full time and when I leave I typically bring the pups with me. My style isn’t to try and replicate exactly what they are used to at your house. Here, I am the leader and they follow and adjust to my rules and preferences. It works on every dog. Yes- Even yours.
