There is honestly nothing I love more than taking care of dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you are away. Dogs give us so much, and I really believe they deserve that same level of care in return. That is what I try to give every single stay. I also know how hard it can be to find someone you fully trust with your dog. That is a big deal. Because of that I have created a calm, structured environment in my home where dogs can settle in, feel secure, and be part of the routine here. With 9+ years professional experience I keep things low volume on purpose so your dog is not just one of many and I can really pay attention to their individual needs. I have grown up around dogs and have experience with all kinds of personalities and care needs. I have cared for puppies who need frequent potty breaks, dogs that require daily medication, and everything in between. I also have two dogs of my own, Nala and Oscar. They are both very sweet and used to having dogs come stay with us. They have made so many of their best dog friends through this. I always require a meet and greet for new clients. It gives us a chance to make sure it is a good fit and allows me to learn your dog’s routine, personality, and anything important that helps them feel comfortable. I take introductions slow so your dog can ease into things and not feel overwhelmed. My pick up and drop off window is between 7am and 7pm. If you need a time outside of that, it may require booking an additional night so everything stays smooth and low stress for the dogs here. While your dog is with me, my focus is making sure you feel comfortable and that your dog is genuinely well cared for. I follow your instructions closely, keep a consistent routine, and send regular photo updates so you can see how they are doing. They will get plenty of attention, movement, and love while they are here.

Mara was so great to coordinate with and it’s so clear that she is great with dogs! Our boy is a big goofball who gets a little overwhelmed sometimes, but after just one meet and greet, we knew it would be a great fit for him to stay with Mara while we went out of town. He clearly loved his time there and we enjoy the tired and happy boy!!
My dogs had a great stay with Mara over Christmas! I had to coordinate drop-off and pick-up through a friend, and Mara was very helpful and communicative throughout the process! I can tell from pick-ups, drop-offs, and the lovely pictures and videos that Mara sends, that my dogs are very comfortable with her and in her home. My boys probably like spending time at her house better than at home because they get so many nice walks and treats, and they are becoming besties with Mara's pups!

Schedule
Mornings start around 6a, they get love’s, breakfast, and outdoor time! When I get home, we go for a long walk, or play in the backyard! Then, dinner, snuggles, outdoor time, and bed!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard, with two doggies that will help me keep your pup company! If I am not home, I have separate quiet spaces for the doggies, since I won’t be home to supervise! If your dog is crate trained you can bring that for their stay, as their safe place! Living with my family upstairs, they help me ensure the doggies have potty breaks and extra love!

A typical day
Although I’ll always follow your instructions as closely as possible, I do like to have a general plan for the day. We would start the day off with a good breakfast and with a nice walk, then we’d come home and play for a while. After that, we’d probably need a nap, so we would snuggle on the couch. After that, maybe we could go to the puppy park, or go for a hike, then have a good night’s rest together! I’m very active, so your pup will be right at home with me if they enjoy the outdoors! A happy pup is a healthy pup, after all. I love to walk the state parks and head out for hikes out in the Gorge. Any quiet neighborhoods are nice as well. I just love to explore! Other then that, I love photography, so of course the pooch can join me exploring and photographing! I also love binge watching movies and snuggling on the couch.
